New question, what came first? The egg or the chicken?

The egg, the first chicken was slightly different then its mother, we have to draw the line somewhere with different species!

The almost-a-chicken...
So a non-chicken laid a chicken egg. :) Was this "almost a chicken" hatch out of a "almost an egg". Thus is why it call a paradox as somewhere something had to lay the first egg which was also hatch from an egg.

It's a silly question because the definition of a species isn't as hard and fast as one would beleive. I don't know if you could ever point to a single point where a bird became a chicken, and what we consider a chicken now isn't exactly the same as a chicken back then...

It's not really a paradox; just because it hatched from an egg doesn't mean it was a chicken.

No kidding; Eagles lay eggs also just not chicken eggs.

you also have to understand that the 'egg' has also been evolving. just look at all the different eggs of all the different species that produce them.. so it's not like all of a sudden an egg plopped out of nowhere. The egg slowly came into being, over millions of years. It didn't magically appear.

By adding millions of years doesn't stop it from being magic. What I do know for sure is chickens lay chicken eggs.

Your basically saying you know for sure evolution doesnt happen which is FALSE.

If you got proof of an ultimate theory that resolves this besides evolution, lets hear it. :p

No. Any given chicken will lay an egg that will hatch a genetically similar creature, that for simplicity we will also call a chicken.

Smidlee's argument is one of many that revolve around the difficulty in exactly defining species. This however doesn't change the fact that groups will diverge over long times with different characterstics.

Interestingly Smidlee's "It's always gonna be a chicken" approach actually works in phylogenetic taxonomy where organisms are classified by divergence from a common ancester. There is some truth that all ancestors of a certain creature will share commonalities however that does not mean evolution is flawed because they can also have massive differences.

Creationism doesn't even have a working, realistic, scientific framework. Creationism = refuting science with false science.

By adding millions of years doesn't stop it from being magic. What I do know for sure is chickens lay chicken eggs.

There is nothing to indicate that magic has created everything on this earth and all of the genetic diversity. Supporting such thinking is not only worthless to any field of study including theology, but quite frankly is just wrong.

Perfectionist, were you a Policy Debater as a lad? When reading the rules i was thoroughly amused by all the jargon i understood an picked up on. I half expected you to not allow Kritiks. I'll put forth my arguements soonish.

I debated policy online since I was 16, does that count?
When reading the rules i was thoroughly amused by all the jargon i understood an picked up on.
What jargon are you refering to?
I half expected you to not allow Kritiks.
The hell are Kritiks?
I'll put forth my arguements soonish.
You're a creationist, I presume?

No way that rock arch occurred naturally ...

No way it could have occurred at all! Take away a single rock and the whole thing collapses! It's impossible except by act of god. ;)

The only one talking magic is you. That is after all the mechanism by which a deity would cause something to spring into existence isn't it? While you prefer to call it "power" it remains an act of effecting change in the universe by force of will alone: magic.

To answer you question about your picture; No , This isn't irreducible complex nor is any other pile of rock even if they spell out your name. Now a motor would fit IC.
