The Official Unit Select/Order Sounds Lab!

That's excellent! Do civilian sounds, though, not chiefs language. As far as I'm concerned, YOU are the chief in the game.

The Hawaiian sounds were translated from a dictionary, and I fear they may be kinda broken.

Ok mint,

I'll record some sounds today, and some in the following days as well. Just got some stuff to do (traveling to the city and such).

Cheers on this idea mate, been a long time coming.

OK, I decided to do some work and contribute some more. So, I fixed the Ukrainian sounds and recorded Serbian (can be used also as Croatian) sounds! I hope I haven't made any mistakes. Anyway, I'll upload them when this forum will allow me. Now, I have some problems uploading for some reason.

Bene! Noi davvero abbiamo bisogno di questi suoni.

Nice! We really need these sounds.

Can you add the Serbian and improved Ukrainian sounds to the main page of the thread?

I'll do it.

Hey, um, how about those Italian and Samoan sounds?

Here are my new sounds in Assyrian. I recorded myself repeating the sounds the Babylonians say, so it will be the same language (which indeed the Assyrians did speak) but a different voice.

Untill we have those Italian sounds I have recorded them myself, so you can use mine meanwhile. I also couldn't find Swedish sounds anywhere, so I improvised a little and recorded some Swedish. I hope all recorded sentences are correct or at least close to what is correct. If you have any corrections tell me, or even better, record yourself and post here!

I think there's sort of a Hebrew/Russian accent in the Italian sounds. Of course, that's kinda obvious that it happens, isn't it?

I don't know Swedish so I can't see any problems there.

Not so obvious for me... I noticed it too when I played those sounds again today and I can say that some Italian sounds sound a little Russian... I was trying to make a deeper voice and do an Italian accent at the same time... Apparently it didn't work. I'll try re-recording those sounds again tomorrow and pay attention not only to my voice, but also to my accent.
I think the accent in the Swedish sounds came out all right overall.
I usually have no problem with accents. I remember when I was learning French in school my teacher told me I spoke like a real Frenchman! I get the same responses from people now in my German class. So I feel like I just have to make those Italian sounds sound more Italian! Unless the person who promised to record Italian will finally upload his recorded files.

I recorded some of the less-Italian sounding Italian sounds, so here is the update. Still, if you don't think it is Italian enough, I'm sorry, I just don't want to record it with my regular voice since I don't like how it sounds in the game. In my opinion these sounds are satisfactory. Still waiting for the person who said he'll record Italian.

I added Italian sounds, courtesy of KrugerPritz.

Well, now that I think about it Madman I hope we have a bunch of these. Because I am going to need them for the next version of my mod (the Deluxe one at least).

We're making a Siam civ and are currently looking for Thai sounds.

Polynesian sounds (preferably in Hawaiian or Samoan) would be appreciated also, as would Tagalog and Haitian Creole.

Does anyone know which language the current Native American sounds are? Whichever tribe they are, I'd like to request some Sioux, Iroquois, Cherokee and/or Apache sounds, depending on which language it is to begin with (I'm guessing it's going to be one of the Sioux languages, but I can't be sure). They'd really top off my Native pack.

And I'd like to second the Polynesian sounds, too. :goodjob:
