Feeling a pang for the old, I was wondering if some of the veritable old timers of the Nesing world would be intrested in a Board game. We would need an old time mod, and the old time players. Just like old times really!

Perhaps we can even get banned like old times ;) *Looks anxiously around for Chieftess or Padma to appear!

Anyways I have a list of the old timer players for the nes game. I need to see if their is support for this. The others not on the list see what you think. Remember we will show the newer peoples of what nesing was like.

The List

Erez, RoddyVR, myself, Jason, das, Anarchy, Plexus, EQandcivfanatic, Naevrod, thebignastyone, SKILORD (if we can track the bastard down), dexter, sgt hellfish, uknemisis, The Troq (another forgotten fool)

Comments?

Add Kenelley and Erik Mesoy.

and mmtt to that as well

Why not make a good NES that would include the entire community, new and old?

I don't think that 'exclusive' NESes is a good idea.

Well, I am not really into board games, but thanks for the invitation. Maybe I'll reconsider if I see the rules or something.

lol @ das's sig.

Anyways, I think it could be fun. I dunno if you will be able to gather the old time players or not, though.

In the mean time, you know that roddy has a RNES board game, right? Look into it.

Jason

o, btw, how old do u mean?

Plexus came in rtor2. So did bn1. And, IIRC, das wasn't around for the later, and better, board games.

I am accutaly a more oldtimer here than you sheep...

I also beat (from your list):
Sgt Hellfish
The Big Nasty One
Plexus

Erik Mesoy joined I think a week before me...
You joined CFC after me.

I would also suggest if this went well, we would maybe get EQ to get RTOR2 back, that would REALLY be like the old days.

/Walks into a corner, feeling that Sheep forgott him :'(

i'd love an old style board game, though to tell you the truth, i dont realy think making it "old board players only" will make much sense.
some arent here.
some lost interest in board games
some lost interest in nesing to the point where they wont send orders anyway.
some are just lost. lol
some of the newer players are still enthusiastic enough about the games they play to be much beter players then the "veterans".

besides, the older neses were simple enough to accomodate almost any amount of interested players (the problem was always getting enough players, and still is).

and we'd need to get the physical addresses and or phone numbers of all the players so that we could threaten real life consequences to not sending orders.

if there's enough interest in a board game i might even volunteer to mod it if needed.

but jason is right, go check out Rnes, and join it, cause we've got an almost even sided world war, with no players on one of the sides. and i'm procrastinating doing the orders myself for the whole side of a world war. having atleast one human take up one of those nations actively would realy help my motivation problems.

Im all for it, would love to see where this all started

Perhaps we can do the story nes and the board nes. By the way Heine I agree with you and you are added.

Of course if we cant get enough old timers we can always fill in the gaps with newer people.

Well, this might be interesting, perhaps we could ressurect RTOR5, it was the undying many-threaded NES for a while...

I agree, I investigated and it seems that Erik Mesoy was here almost from the start.

Erik, do you mean EQ's old NES? I always thought it was RTOR2.

EQ ran RTOR2, RTOR5 was run by several :p
