Sorry,but per my agreement with Kingpin to acquire the unit and settings I cant reveal how it's configured or release the unit outside of the mod.I'm working on tweaking the settings for optimal AI usage now and some other Experiments on it's possibilities. I have the AI using it now,just not that effectively. Kinda like how the AI does it's Amphibious assault's at the moment.

Yeah I remember that teleporter thingy from Mechwarrior 4... I had to protect one from Clanner attacks during a mission until some big-wigs could reach it and teleport outta the area or something like that.... It's been forever since I played Mechwarrior 4, though.....
It's too bad Kingpin is being greedy with the info about how teleporting works.. I know of about half a dozen mods that could really use that information.... I might even, if I knew how it worked, use it in the FF mod for summoned creatures (basically, the Mage units generated by the Mage Tower improvements would be able to "call" summoned creatures, which are generated at a small wonder into battle), and the Stargate mod/scenarios are in desperate need of that info.

Nah Kingpin's not being greedy, he learned what is standard practice around here. Why single him out?. Im thankful he has found a worthy apprentice 
he put a lot of work into Balancer Reloaded. far to much IMO for the lack of appreacation he gets for it. I hear complaints, "its to big"! Its like saying you put to much effort into your work! Now we have to wait to long to download it, for free. Sorry for OT, it just gets to me like it might discourages major project to hear such trival things.

Whenever I discover soemthing really important that could be used by others, I share that information freely. Whenever I make a new unit or LH for the FF mod, I release it as soon as it's finished, tested and packed up. And you want to talk about underapreciated? I've been working on the FF mod for almost 3 YEARS by myself with only 2 people helping with civ info and city lists, and 2 people (other than myself) directly contributing units to said mod. Embryodead, OTOH, had 2 of the best and most prolific unit creators directly helping out with entire unit lines of his mod.
I was just saying that when something of that magnitude is discovered, only a greedy SOB would keep it all to himself, rather than sharing it with the rest of the community so that they could benefit from it. I'm not singling him out, I'm just telling it like it is.

Oy Im sorry for inflaming this type of negative disscussion on your thread SG.
All I meant is any work designed by any artists can be and commonly is held exclusive to their mod or giving to others who respect the artist and there work. Others can see it as they like it. That only my opinion
No ones stopping others from using this abilt. Its on the Balancer and Now The Big O project coming soon!. Why should he give out his secrets to apease others who heckle him. People can play these mods for free or put in the time and effort and discover their own formula.
I can't speak for him, he might not even know anyone wants his ideas, but Im a great supporter and thankful for what he's given this community and I look forward to this project aswell. Take care and best of luck

Yes, but it makes you DL a 500+ MB mod that you don`t want (in example), just to check out something. His mod marks another download, yay... Its just bad marketing. - You wanna see it? DL it. - And this method was "invented" back when alot of us were still on dial-up.
Just plain mean.
If you want people to play your mod, there are other methods of achieving that. Like, interesting previews or something. But, they decided to go about it like they are only interested in the number of downloads. Like that guarantees people will like and play the mod, just cos they already DL it.

So does that mean u're Pissed off at the SST team as well.
I ask because we're the ones setting on over 700 WW2 units. Also we've figured out how to let scout planes land on BB's and not carriers. Also how to keep land based planes like bombers off of carriers as well.
And a few other tricks.

storm_grunt: well i kinda agree with witholding the information. i know it may seem kinda mean, but it can add a fun surprise to a mod if you have something new likw that. i personally plan on doing lots of experiments for my mod, and i may tell people how they work, or i may just tease them and tell them once the mod is done.

@Quinzy- Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. I was just trying to raise the interest level in the mod a little. I have only a few consistent posters and when it comes time for beta testing I feel I'm going to need a lot more helpers....

Thats the spirit! the forum worked out the formula by putting in the time. Just figure it out I said when that someone probably already did. Now to use it in some cool mod!. I look forward to it Bluemofia.
Ya and Storm thanks for bearing my constant praise for that specific work. Who needs catchy advertising campains when Im doing all the work, right? Really though about the waiting!, Kingpin came up with the idea for attaching Bittorrent, the rapid file sharing problem , just to cater to people like you! Suprised you never saw it. It took me less then a minute to acquire Balancer for a friend and he has high speed dail up!
Anyway sorry about the massive OT Id like to say on with the O show cuz its long overdue.
