Here it is, to be honest HRE looks kind of like Prussia with a headstart. Vassals are Poland, France and I think Spain, either way they were hundreds of points ahead of everyone else:

A newer mega-HRE. I control everything between Turkey and India and yet I still can't keep up, it's insane. Part of their empire is my fault (I didn't take the Balkans and Italy when the time was right)

Assume that they own almost all of Iberia (except for Lisbon)

I have been playing the HRE myself and it has a very good stabilty map. Even after the Prussia spawn the core/historical area is still all of Austria,Hungary, Balkans and Italy. Before the Dutch/Prussian spawn the stability map is insane. I have found it's stability map much better than that of Prussia.

Even at this point in time my stability is Solid +12.

It's always lovely to see pony references when you least expect them. For that matter, I'm considering changing my avatar again, to something with Sunset Shimmer in it, but I just can't seem to decide on something specific. Maybe if we derailed this thread into a Sunset Shimmer picture competition that would help me!

What I think happened: England went to settle Jamaica right as i settled Haiti. The settler just sat there and did nothing. I cancelled my open borders with England a while ago, and the settler must have moved to the mainland after a border pop and decided "screw it, we're settling Venezuela/Colombia." Also, Spain likes settling Cartagena way too much, perhaps that rainforest should become a Jungle?

So, I've always played DoC on Monarch. Never once popped a tech from a goodie hut, assumed that had been disabled for good. Then once I played on Regent I suddenly got one, cue cries of "Wut... WUT?"
Then I wondered, if I pop close to every hut in Eurasia and Africa and savescum a bit too, can I get interesting results? The answer... is yes.

Funnily enough this may actually ruin my game with the Religious Disunity hit to Stability and I can't switch religion without giving up the classical wonders. Nevertheless this one could get exciting.

okay..here is the "incidence": i'm playing a game as mongolia, built it up to a nice lil empire spanning half of eurasia, good relations with everyone...when this happens. i trade with the dutch. they offer me economics, which i'm just researching (10 turns to go) for rifling and 800 gold. i accept...and BAM! they declare war on me..byzantium and germany joining the party as well...all three i had good relations with prior to that. so..what triggered the declaration of war?

really bugging me, this.

I'm going to guess that having rifling gave them a strength boost that made them more willing to declare war. I would be frustrated if this happened too, though. Backstabbers! lol
