It has been a long time since my last post, but I've never forgotten this great modmod and I often play it.

I'm playing as the Byzantine Empire and I've stopped arab and seljuk invasions. . My economy works so well so I discovered Optics by 1213 A.D. and crossed the unknown oceans...

In unknown lands I've discovered new civilizations. Their conquer were almost completed when mongol hordes invaded ....hmmmm... my NEW TERRITORY!!

Clearly the Mongols are there to keep you from becoming too advanced. You didn't know that the Mongols were the exploiter police?

Both Attila and the Mongols were referred to as the scourge of God. It's not exactly uncommon Christian imagery, and contemporaries were well aware of the parallels between the Huns and Mongols.

This didn't happen in DoC, but yesterday in my AP world my teacher (who is terrible) was rote quizzing us on what resources were where in early BCE, and I was correct because I just visualized the DoC map. DoC might actually carry me through AP World!

Haha I know what you mean I played DoC religiously last year when I had AP world, got a 5 easy.

I took the SAT 2 (I assume you're in America so you know what that is ) and I got a perfect score. One of the questions was "Which of these cities was the financial capital of Europe during 1700?" The only reason I got that right was because of the UHV

But in general this game will not help you in history LOL

I think Ottoman Korea and Italian denmark are firsts gor me. Everything else can happen every so often in a game. The resl question is how advanced is Italy in that game?
