The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

Yeah they’re usually pretty strong but not “killed Spain, vassalized Mali and Arabia, and singlehandedly stopped the somehow uncollapsed Mongols” strong.
If you don't want the Moors to become super powerful you could try Dawn of Civilization Reborn which adds the Rasulids and playable and stronger Mamluks. So in that mod the Mamluks and Rasulids block the Moors from becoming the most dominant power in Africa.

Hey I’m not complaining, I enjoy the alternate universe variations we get sometimes. In that same game Poland conquered the Inca for some reason.

Please discuss modmods in their respective threads.

It's 912 AD, and the Holy Romans have somehow totally rolled the French, vassalizing them and reuniting the Frankish Empire in very short order.

Barbarian shenanigans on the latest git version. 3000BC, monarch diff, normal speed, Byz start.

Huns and Germanic tribesmen team up for a full-scale invasion of the ERE

Time to seek asylum in Tibet

Flipped a flipping bonkers amount of barbarian swordsmen upon switching - 14 of them! I guess that China was under barbarian control while these guys were spawning in Tibet, so they stuck around.

I can provide saves if anyone expresses interest in them.

Indonesian conquerors... who are the vassals to a stupidly strong Tamil Empire. 3000 BC start so anything can happen :p

I sorta checked outa this game pretty early on when I realized I couldn't win so I ended up just playing like a spectator while watching a movie. Arabia circumnavigated the globe, collapsed, then the world had to wait 200 years before discovering how to use boats again. This also left the Tamils the only civ that was head and shoulders above everyone else. I still don't know how Indonesia ended up getting the conquering event.

Workboats in the Great Lakes.
workboats0000-jpg.579675

I never built them. Perhaps it is not ever possible. But two workboats are in Detroit.

My hipotesys is the following:
I was training a workboat in Rome and in Naples, because i lost some fish in Mediterranean sea in the war with Moors.
And in the turn before, Italy born in Rome and Naples.
So those workboats were teletrasported in the American Great Lakes.

Otherwise i don't know. Tell me what happened!

Unfortunately I don't remember how that Byz came to be but I believe they collapsed shortly thereafter. Spain controls Mecca. And do the Arabs ever do well? xD

Here are some more pics of AI overperforming.
(Mongols got conquerors too)
