Have you already checked the ownership of Orthodox cities in the world? Catholicism should only be founded when more than half of all Orthodox cities are controlled by non-Orthodox civs (i.e. state religion not Orthodox).

I think most of cities with orthodoxy were in orthodox countries. Catholicism was founded in 1170.

This is amazing. I've never seen Tibet rise above having more than a couple of cities, much less in the Modern era, much much less have a military even a fraction of this strength. Do you think this was a respawn army, or did they build it themselves?

(And parking it right outside their borders… They’re probably paying 60 /turn on unit supply. Oh AI…)

I don't know if that was a respawn army but Tibet was super advanced that game since they were vassals of the Mughals, the world tech leader. I think they were even the first to launch a satellite lol.

Noticing the overpowered Ottomans again, I wonder how frequent of an occurence it is for the Ottomans to always be able to "fly" forward in terms of technology and power. Unlike in 1.17 where they always seem to have an overextension and stability issue very oftenly making them collapse to the core by XVIII century, in 1.18 they seem to barely have any struggles all the time, not even having civs like Egypt or Greece respawning to make it harder for them
