Is that a Viking Greece???? Talk about Viking Invasions!

looks like Viking Germany and Viking East Europe as well

The vikings owned everything from Scandanavia to Greece in a big vertical strip, but they collapsed a few turns after I took this picture.

Indian Conquistadors!

And then there's the fact that Catholicism has completely failed in this timeline.

Diplomatic Hijinks! Britain and Germany are muslim, Spain is Buddhist, the Incans are vassals of Tokugawa, and Sweden has hegemony over the Spaniards and Germans.

I think I've seen -every- Vanilla RFC old world civ get conquistadors now.

Except for Babylonians, Persians, Russians, Mongolia, and Mali (although I have seen them grab a barb city from a collapsed Mexico).

... Yes, I have kept accurate track of which civs I have and have not seen do it!

From Synthesis:

The Crusades, TWICE, in different games. France captures Antiochia in one, Spain captures Jerusalem in another:

And THIS: :crazyeye:

I, for one, have no fricking clue how this could have POSSIBLY happened. And this is the first time I have EVER seen that city (much less as England's capital):

Once in vanilla RFC I was playing France and for some reason the Dutch founded their capital in Denmark. They couldn't return to their rightful homeland because of Paris' cultural borders. I felt bad so I reloaded and they founded Amsterdam as usual.

Name would indicate that its a city founded by Rome and if it flipped on spawn it becomes the capital automatically .. can't remember if the flipzone covers that Sheep, but guess it does.
Impressed that Rome actually settled there .. very rare occurrence, you didn't happen to see any flying pigs in that game did you

Pretty obvious isn't it?
London has been captured (Vikings?) and then recaptured.

No, this is 600 AD. And I can understand the capital not being London, but how was that city founded?

The Irish monks from Iona learned kung-fu and conquered all of the British Isles.

Very old screenshots:
1: French Ireland and South England. English Capital is Inverness, England is a French Vassal (I think).
