According to legend the ancient Kingdom of Magadha was one of the sixteen Mahājanapadas was established by the Brihadratha Dynasty, sixth in line from Emperor Kuru of the Bharata dynasty through his eldest son Sudhanush
The first prominent Emperor of the Magadhan branch of Bharathas was the legendary Emperor Brihadratha. The dynasty lasted for a 1000 years even taking part in the Kurkashetra War in which his son Jarasandha fought on the side of the Kauravas, the war lasted 18 fierce days before ending in Pandava victory with 1,530,900 soldiers dead on the Pandva side and 2,405,700 soldiers dead on the Kurava side. His son Jarasandha lay dead upon the battlefield at the end of the conflict killed by Bhima.
And thus began the Kali Yuga at midnight on 18 February 3102 BCE the time that Krishna left to his own abode, for 10,000 years the reigning lord of Kali Yuga and nemesis of Sri Kalki, the 10th and final avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Towards the end of this yuga, Kalki came riding on a white horse to battle Kali and his dark forces. The world suffered a fiery end where all the evil perished.
The current Magadhan rulers claim their lineage from these legendary figures and aspire to the nobility, courage, and honor of the characters of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. The Magadha is martial in spirit, fiercely proud and independent, and emphasizes lineage and tradition.
Start me in northern Bengal/Bihar with my capital at Pataliputra. Religon should be Hinduisim but Magadhan Hinduisim is somewhat distinct from typical Hinduisim in that it places a lot of empahsis on these legendary chracthers as what one should aspire to, and its somewhat martial in nature, similar to the Rajput style Hinduisim to an extent.
