After much trial and error, I used the version Malta sent me to make the changes for the update, and I have uploaded the working file to the first post in the thread. I playtested this one with v1.17f and made other slight corrections, and I encountered no problems with era changes except for a slow transition from Ancient to Medieval. Although this works fine on my computer, please tell me if you have any more problems.
By the way, I made very minor changes to the Readme again. Don't download it if you have either old version.
