You could try grout to fill the crack. That's essentially a type of cement, so is not meltable or flammable.

Just went and tested that silicone is indeed somewhat flammable. Even on the inside the heat could be enough to melt the silicone. Not at all sure "melt" is the right term for something with a jelly-like consistency, but you get the idea.
There is no crack! I should use the term hairline fracture. I'd have to just slather it around the inside. Messy. Could the oil react with it any way?
