if an earthquake hit a 10, the theory went, it would be felt everywhere on Earth at the same time.
I see. That would the be the theoretical upper limit. The earthquake in Revelation would be a 10. Thanks for the response. :)

Has there ever been a 10?
They say that no faults have the capability to generate one. Might have been different earlier.

IIRC, the number rating for the Richter scale increases exponentially in power, not linear.

It would be 10 times shakier than a 10 and 1000 times shakier than an 8?
Both true, but how does that translate into the effects?

Let's put it in the middle of North America then.

Also, are there any other ethnonyms which are homophones (such as Czech and Uighur)?

I'm interested as to what exactly the rightist streaks of his may be though.

It isn't exactly rightists streak, Sartre himself was communist. But he says that people are responsilbe for much of what happens to them, and they (almost) always have a choice when they do something. Time to time he says it in very extreme words, and that sounds a lot like the rightist claim that poor choose their part, and so Sartre causes easily automatic counterreaction.

Personally however I think that it's not the right way to discard something just because it feels bad at first glance, or because it's used as an argument for things you don't approve. I think the correct way is try to find the truth in the opinions of your opponents. There often is some truth. You might learn something, and as another benefit, if you understand their argument you can pierce it right to the heart.

My guess would be they want a resume from you and they would rather it not be one of the microsoft templates you download off the internet.

HMO or PPO? What about for an adult college student with enough money to go over the junk college insurance?

Is it deliberate or just ignorant when so many people here say "Christianity" and mean something like "American Fundamentalist Evangelical Protestantism"?

Depends on the context. However, that's the group that's making the most noise these days.
