Why does the last 8 oz of a 2L bottle of Dr. Pepper taste flat?

You've opened/closed the bottle and poured and drank the rest of it. That kinda let out most of the gas.

I guess it's a good thing they make 1.5L bottles now :)

Is the loss of taste and smell from smoking permanent or will it go away? I know it deadens the receptors or something.

Certain people don't lose theirsenses of smell or taste due to smoking (myself for example; I do a lot ob lab work, and sense of smell is very useful; I can differentiate between chemicals by smell alone, and even detect some spillages), but for most, the loss will only leave (if at all) when you stop smoking for several months.

Keep the soda as cold as possible too. Gases are more soluble at lower temperatures so the soda will stay fizzy longer if its kept really cold.

1. How do you get over a broken heart without alcohol/drugs/parties?

2. Is it possible to lose 22lbs in 30 days?

3. Is it possible to lose 44lbs in 60 days or less?

4. How fast can you shed weight without falling ill?

Excersice is probably a good solution to the first question. Seems to be you plan anyways.

Varies person to person and time to time. Some people just need to get back out there. Others just need time, others need a distraction (such as exercise), some may need counseling.

2. Is it possible to lose 22lbs in 30 days?
Yep. Done that with no effort, just cutting all the junk food (and much of the other food) from my diet.

3. Is it possible to lose 44lbs in 60 days or less?
Yep.

4. How fast can you shed weight without falling ill?
Depends on on several factors:
How much excess weight is available to be shed (your 400 pound 5 foot tall man can safely lose a lot more than someone 6 feet tall 150 pounds), how you do it, your body, how much weight it is.

Why does the ice cream keep melting in the freezer? It's as cold as it'll go.

The various things in ice cream (fat, sugar, etc) decrease the freezing temperature so that it is lower than water. If your freezer can't freeze it, though you likely have one of three problems: a crappy freezer to begin with, a poor seal so that too much cold air escapes and it can't keep it frozen, or it is wearing out and can't keep it as cold as it used to. All of which can be exacerbated by having too much stuff in, in particular new, unfrozen stuff radiating heat.

Yo freezer probably sucks.

But there are other stuff in the icecream as well - it isn't like freezing milk.

IIRC you need to keep ice cream in -7 temperature at all times or something.

Are you putting it in the freezer door? Thats generally warmer than the inside of the freezer itself as its more exposed to the outside. Additionally, when you open/close the freezer, the items in the door get exposed to more temperature fluctuations.

The only things in the freezer door of my fridge are hard liquors.

Thanks!

How do I find out the safe rate?

Its possible to lose 22lb in 30 days, but not a good idea. I wouldnt try for more than 4lb a week. 3lb/week is even better.

Ive found that rapid weight loss results in a harder to maintain weight. Your body begins to store more fat due to it thinking there's less food available. More of the food you eat goes to storage instead of immediate use.

Unless you need to have the weight lost so soon, take the time to do it carefully. If you just dive in, quickly shed the weight and think you're done, you're going to find yourself wrong very fast. Take the time to research how you're going to go about with your weight loss -- diet, exercise, any lifestyle changes you're going to make.

About a year and half ago I went through a crash-course to lose weight, and I did. Dropped about 20lb in a month. I felt like crap after that, and I found it hard to stick to a good diet - more junk food, less smaller meals, skipping breakfast or lunch. I gained those 20 lb right back over the course of the summer. Now I've started to take things gradually -- biking, avoiding certain foods when I can. Small things mostly, but its helped me maintain my current weight and actually lose some on good weeks.

Weight loss is not something you should think of as an immediate thing -- a weekend project. Its a change you have to make in your lifestyle. You gotta commit to losing the weight and keeping it off. Longterm.

You should talk to a physician about this though.

I don't know any smokers who have problems with smell/taste. Even the 15-year/2-3packs a day veterans.
It is in no way a significant problem. The senses are prolly just slighlty dulled. It might be a bigger problem when you're 60 or smthing tho; but by the time you're 60 you wont need smell and taste anyway. :D

Why during the 19th century there was very little inflation - but now in the 20th and 21st century it went mental and prices kept going up. Something to do with banks?
