Am I right in being annoyed at depictions of the continents from millions of years ago still having the shape that they do today but just in different positions? I have to think they'd look nothing at all like they do now.

ALSO, now that I have money, I'm faced with the serious and awesome possibility of buying a real ushanka over the internets, and I have questions. First, my head is like, large, not as huge as this one kid I saw in high school a few times who you could probably decapitate, fill with air and use for a few games of basketball before the stink would get to you, but big, and I want to make sure this hat fits so- how does one measure their head? Is it just wrapping a measuring tape around me head?
And most importantly, what color? Gr(a/e)y or brown? I'm leaning towards brown atm, but idk. So, opinons.
Spasiba for your time.

They looked differently, yes, but the contemporary continental shape is usually outlined to better portray the possible movements of the chunks of land into the positions that we recognise today.

I like those because it shows what we think they looked like along with what they do look like now, it adds perspective. But I'm talking of the ones that have a clear Iberian peninsula just appearing out of pangea.

No, I got it don't worry.

Actually, "ställa" means put. So it's literally "to put a question at someone" ("att ställa en fråga till någon")

That's exactly like in German. :)
"eine Frage stellen", with "stellen" = to put (in an upright position). "Ich stelle eine Frage an dich" - I "put" a question at you.

Hell, that's the same as in Romanian, the only difference is that the words don't resemble so much (;)), and we use the Dative instead of a preposition.

I put a glass dish (with food on it) in the microwave. Then I turned the microwave on, a few minutes later I heard a noise and the dish broke! What happened?

What was the dish made of? 3/"a few" minutes can be way too long depending on how much food was in the dish.

The dish likely expanded and exaggerated hairline fractures that already existed in it. Or there was a small temperature fluxuation inside the microwave which caused thermal shock.

It's glass, but I don't know what kind.

Pyrex type or other "cooking" type glass dishes are safe for the microwave. Ordinary glass may or may not be. It broke because it heated faster than it was strong enough to take.

Glass can't handle temperature shocks. At least that's what it says on my mircowave's thingy. Only ceramics and plastic is allowed. Glass for only few seconds.

What's a "500 - Internal server error"? Could that occur by itself, or is it a result of someone tinkering with the server?

The server is probably overloaded. The 500 error means that the server could not complete the request, although the initial handshake has occured. It could be tinkering or it could be too much traffic.

I found this in a manual for a portable CD player. I'm confused?
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified with the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

I've done that before. The CD player was more damaged than my feet. But what was that about using a cart?

It's a bad English translation designed to protect the company against any legal claims if you actually carry your portable player and it stops working or doesn't play smoothly. They can claim that you used it inappropriately by carrying it in your hand or in a vehicle.
