Earlier today I stubbed my toe. Within an hour it swelled to twice the size, and now it's turning some really funny colors. It's extremely difficult to walk, partly because its so swollen I can't bend my toe to touch the floor and partly because it hurts so much. Should I go to the hospital?
Yes, but not for the toe hun :pat:

If it's syphillis, and you've never had sex, then you probably got it from your mother when you were born, and she's probably hiding it from you.

I went to tell my mom that I think I broke my toe and she started waving her arms around and screaming "IT'S JUST A BRUISE!!!"

That sounds like syphillis induced dementia to me. You'd better get both of you to the hospital right away.

Because the syphillis is destroying her ability to think clearly, you may have to go to the hospital yourself and have the EMTs come get her separately once you get there. A lie may be needed to induce them to do this. Domestic abuse will probably work; use your toe as the evidence.

If it was spyphillis, I'd think that it would be just a random swelling and not after I smashed it on the wall. I slipped on a loose rug.

I was trying to do something so I threw the rug out of the way and then later slipped on it.

Well the reason syphillis takes so long to fully take effect is that the virus multiplies within the cells of your bone marrow, which can take years to leak back into your blood stream. However, severe trauma to an area can release large quantities of the mature virus into your blood; you stubbing your toe probably delivered the necessary force to break the syphillis free, and now it is coursing through your body, preparing to go to work on your brain. Your toe received the initial blow and the highest concentration of the virus, so its feeling the effects first.

Now I'm really confused.

If that't the case a syphilis virus is such a highly concentrated dose could prove fatal. It may act as a deadly toxic shock to your system. If I were you I would get to the hospital right away. You may need a dialysis machine or blood transfusion.

I don't understand!

Yuo don't need to, do you need to know the genesis of every illness you go to the doctors for?
