Imagine seeing that appear in the brush on the African savannah at night.

As I told you before, most digital cameras, unless they're very good, suck at low light. Your flash wasn't fast enough or bright enough. So you got a low shutter speed and moved the camera too much.

What on earth is this thing? It's way up in the middle of town and I don't think it's a radio tower. I asked my mom and she has no idea either.

But I thought a microwave was a thing you cook food with.

What on earth happened to this picture? It was nighttime and I was using the flash. It's actually sort of scary.

Your cat is possessed by a demon. You must tie it down, sprinkle a circle around it in cat-litter, and scream "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!" until it is exorcised.

It is, quite literally, a pie in the sky.

My question:

How do I get the audio commentaries to play on the Futuram Season 1 and 2 DVD sets? There doesn't appear to be a way to access them from any of the menus.

OK, the microwave confusion is cleared up.

And it's not my cat. It's just a stray I saw.

Well I don't have the 1st season, but I have the third one. And I think to access the commentaries you have to go to Audio Options (or something similar to that) and turn the commentary on from there.

Ouch. I guess that might be in the Languages section, since there is no Audio Options section on the menu. I'll have to check, since I want my commentaries.

Wikipedia said:
The tapetum lucidum (Latin: "bright tapestry", plural tapeta lucida)[1] is a layer of tissue in the eye of many vertebrate animals, that lies immediately behind or sometimes within the retina. It reflects visible light back through the retina, increasing the light available to the photoreceptors. This improves vision in low-light conditions, but can cause the perceived image to be blurry from the interference of the reflected light.[citation needed] The tapetum lucidum contributes to the superior night vision of some animals. Many of these animals are nocturnal, especially carnivores that hunt their prey at night, while others are deep sea animals.

Eyeshine is a visible effect of the tapetum lucidum. When a light is shone into the eye of an animal having a tapetum lucidum, the pupil appears to glow. Eyeshine can be seen in many animals, in nature and in flash photographs. In low light, a hand-held flashlight is sufficient to produce eyeshine that is highly visible to humans (despite our inferior night vision); this technique, spotlighting, is used by naturalists and hunters to search for animals at night. Eyeshine occurs in a wide variety of colors including white, blue, green, yellow, pink and red. However, because eyeshine is a form of iridescence, the color varies slightly with the angle at which it is seen and the color of the source light.

I just watched the whole first DVD while I was offline, and this was correct. Thanks.

Cats have reflective areas in the back of their eyes to help them capture more light at night so they can see better. Your flash just caught that reflective area at the right angle, so you can see it brightly.
It's not just cats!
Do people on CFc ever write articles on contemporary politics? I see theres a archive of history articles (its great by the wat, check it out if you havent already), but I'd like to see some about the present day

is certainly contemporary, although more political philosophy than politics. You'll enjoy it.

Yeah, you should always be firm when dealing with women.
