The Release Sucks!!!!!!!

The situation with this game reminds me of the SimCity4 release. There was so much excitement until people realized that the minimum requirements on the box just wouldn't cut it. And the recommended requirements were a joke as well. That game brought state of the art systems -at the time- to their knees. A city that began to grow would just slow the game down to a crawl even on hefty systems and the eye candy, which wasn't that marvelous, just wasn't worth the sacrafice in gameplay.
Heck, I got a new computer last summer with a beefier graphics card and that game still comes to a crawl in the later stages of metropolis building. That game became tedious and lame when a city reached medium size, and the game suffered for it. I think it was a bad decision for Maxis to design that game the way that they did, and I think it was a bad decision for Firaxis to design this game the way that they did. Never, ever trade gameplay for graphics when dealing with PC gamers.
