Interesting story. I used to play The Sims, but haven't played The Sims 2. I never got a family that rich though - for me it got a bit boring when they could easily afford everything, and thus the 1-million simoleon house I built never has been inhabited.

Any plans for activating the Giant Death Robot?

In my regular neighborhoods I impose invisible ceilings to keep some households from getting overly rich. In Pleasantview, where I never did that, there are many houses with more than a million simoleons. I use a hacked object to make them send money to their children, but it just keeps coming in!

And speaking of twisted family lines...I'm simultaneously relieved and disappointed that you guys didn't pick Tiberius. Let's just say his parentage isn't quite as simple as it appears.

I generally make sure ONE person in the household can sew, because it is tiresome to have to send them off to buy clothes.

It's hard to take that job seriously when the Nehrus now have over one million, one hundred thousand simoleons.

Edele wanted to be scared by the family ghosts, so I gave her a death-free lift across the river. She spent all night fishing, but the ghosts just ignored her. Typical.

Yes, that would be Augustus' lobster about to catch fire in the stove. He decided he had more important things to do. I managed to corral someone to take it out before the fire started, though.

Edele's pregnant again! I'm not altogether sure why I had her 'try for baby' when she's only the 'spare' to the heir, aside from the fact that I like playing her and I'm curious to see if I can draw out some more red-headed genes.

Thanks to all those snow days, Napoleon is only JUST NOW learning to study.

Marie's elder years are finally upon her.

The Nehrus don't need any more money, so let's try putting it to use.

Since Edele will be going in the Vault (just as Tatiana did), I directed Augustus to have her portrait done.

Maybe when you're...old.

She doesn't LOOK like a criminal mastermind....she looks like a grandmother about out to go pick up her prescriptions.

You have PEOPLE to do this now, Marie. You don't need to do the counterfeiting yourself.

Marie has brown hair and red eyebrows, but I didn't realize that could happen naturally.

Napoleon is off to college...

...and he's back out! The usual friend-making and skirt-chasing occurred between shots. He's got a couple of marriage candidates, and is engaged to one, but their chemistry dropped from 3 bolts to 1 after Napoleon's age-up and I need to fix that or find a new fiance.

Next time....we should see the start of Generation 6.

Over on the Boolprop forum, we used to call such weirdness with hair and eyebrow colour as "dye-jobs". The eyebrows should be (theoretically) their natural hair colour, I believe.

Yup, she has red hair...in this case, her hair appeared black because of a custom-hair glitch. For some reason one of my red hairstyles had been replaced by the black pixie cut.

You do know that the games only track the current hair? You could make a sim, have his hair dyed red, and the game will think it got it biologically.

Edele wastes no time teaching Keavy to do homework -- though she's working on Horatio's homework.

The next day, Horatio grows up.

He had a fairly successful childhood.

I let Edele and Keavy sleep in the master bedroom, since Augustus and Marie like the 'red' bedroom so much.

In the original Sims game, the top of the Criminal career made the Sim out to be a Godfather of sorts -- they went to work wearing an expensive (and gaudy) suit, like they were John Gotti. Sims 2 makes them into comic book villains: that cartoony approach affects SEVERAL careers now.

....and re-enter Napoleon, who's moving back into the house.

I've decided that Camryn Lee's green eyes and black hair belong in the Nehru gene pool -- but first, I need to get Napoleon "un-engaged" from that other sim whom he lost attraction for.

That'll do it.

Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Nehru, the future parents of Generation 6.

They got married really quickly, so much to the point that Napoleon hadn't even fallen in love with her yet.

That tombstone would be Napoleon's former fiance.

And again, speaking of rushing -- they hadn't even woohooed before I married them off.

Camryn is a...boring Sim. Her lifetime want doesn't interest me (20 Best Friends, same as Napoleon), and she shows no interest in one career over another. I give her one of my favorite hairstyles so I won't forget about her completely.

And here's a job we've not seen yet --

Napoleon likes to play pirate. Remember when Romulus used to do that?

A slightly new look before he starts his career as a politican.

Given how crowded the house is, I've decided not to tell them to try for baby until Augustus and Marie are dead. Despite not being Family sims, they're going for it anyway -- by themselves.

After five generations of superb leadership in various fields, it is time for the Nehru clan to claim its destinies -- as RULERS of Riverblossom Hills! Henceforth, all political power shall rest in the body of the Nehrus.

This is one of the 'hobby' chance cards. I rarely show them.

Their effects are usually pretty minor..

...but I tend to ignore them because SOMETIMES they cost Sims their jobs.

I really do not like the way the game handles sickness, because Sims are capable of getting sick IMMEDIATELY after being healed. Napoleon and Horatio literally just finished eating "Grandma's Comfort Soup" which cures sicknesses, only to catch it AGAIN because they're still breathing in their old germs.

Keavy's a teen now! Popularity/Family. She wants to be a cop, and you will be seeing more of her...I'm thinking of letting her stay with the house, same as Tatiana and Edele.

Speaking of Edele, she's old now. And she and Keavy match.

My Sims always get yelled at for not creating jobs, so..

Fortunately for this Miss Crumblebottom, the Nehrus have 1.2 million simoleons.

Ah, Landgraab Enterprises. A classic from SC3K. I like how the Sim games reference each other.

I took a look at the other legacy that inspired you, and what a world of difference! Your game is going like most of my Sim families did, user-controlled and thus pretty successful. That one, with free will... whew. Nearly all D- students, tons of fights, lots of fail. And yet, I still think the AI improved from the original Sims. There the Sims would be fired within five days no matter what if you gave them free will, and they'd never get any skills other than logic (chess), creativity (painting/piano), and body (swimming and maybe the riding bull?).

Horrible what you did to Napoleon's old fiancée. An efficient way to dispatch the problem, though.
