Simple. Do you like coins in really small denominations, like $0.01 or 0.02€?

When people drop them they never pick them up, I swear I make like 5 cents a day during the school year! Over the year that's enough to get like a couple sodas or something!

Also who couldn't just love the penny, it's copper, it's got Abe Lincoln on it, what more could you want?

Oh, and they're round too!

I never use anything below a 50p in public i just think its embarrassing counting out five pounds in small silver change, so i have a pot at home with 20ps and under in and every month i get them changed and get like 20 pounds, yay

There's no actual need to replace them at all - Sweden's smallest coin is the 50 öre, which is just above 5c (eurocents).

Although, copper doesn't really burn... I could save em up and then after a year or so melt them into one big easter egg.. At least they would serve some purpose then..

Isn't it illegal to deface currency?

That means you can't melt pennies.

It's illegal to attempt to defance currency and then use it, but its perfectly legal to deface currency with the intention of keeping it.

As for small coins, I'm not crazy about them, but they never did anything to offend me.

I have a big jug I throw my change in, the minimum I put in there are nickels (5 cents). Pennies I throw away.

I don't know what you call them ... metal cups (with a glass bottom) ... I have a couple of those packed with coppers (1p and 2p).

Edit: It's really bugging me.. what the smeg are they called? Description: About 6" high, cold metal (and handle); glass base; the base is wider than the mouth; archaic. Urgh.. my mind has blanked on me.

Pennies? I havent had a use for pennies since I was 7 years old and I could buy a piece of Bazooka Bubblegum for one or two cents. Pennies dont factor into my life in any way
