Fun update, very fitting for the 'anniversary'.

Reminds me of the Civ 4 AAR I wrote a couple years ago, I also used to jot stuff down while playing, and while it wasn't as extensive as this I still have afew random bits of paper floating around with stuff like 'France at war with Saxony' written on them.

That's basically what I did for my AARs, take point form notes and fill in the rest with memory and imagination.

Awesome only when rewarded, eh?

One thing about the AAR I never mentioned in that last post was that I didn't intend it to focus on the characters as much as Rome did, and never intended on giving out medals like in the German AAR and Silent Hunter.

Rather delightfully there has been some fantastic in-character interactions between the updates as the thread went on and the situation changed. I simply had to recognise that in some way and these awards - in particular the unique awards and the kings honours - reflect that.

You're not a Knight yet, that only went to Subi. You just have the title Commander of the British Empire, which is one step down in this story. You can demand to be addressed Sheep21 CBE, mind.

It's been wearying at times, but I always come back to it. Turned out to be more fun than I imagined, certainly much longer.

For turning down the position as head of UNIT, instead choosing to do service on the front-lines of France, this award has been awarded to ComradeDavo. His inspired leadership and resolve has kept the 1st CFC Infantry Division intact and always in fighting order, even when outnumbered and against a superior foe.
