The Stonewall Pact [EQNES]

You just got yourself a ban from this thread....

Hungary will most likely stay in Austria, Czechoslovakia (Gelion). The greater part of our forces will be necessary to hold the Soviets back from Vienna. Hungary is a part of the Stonewall pact and will serve her regardless, nevertheless we have a dire need to accumulate an extra IC or two. Czechoslovakia does not have the right to ban Hungary from such a forum. Have your forces defended OUR homeland? My choice to lead my country in war was an act of solidarity and belief in the values that Communists do not hold. Hungary could have stayed out of this war, but we will fight. Oh yes we will fight for what we believe in, even unto the bitter end, exile across the ocean or a glorious victory.

A single IC would most likely suffice. Would Italy, Germany, the UK or any other nation do us the benevolence of sharing a single point with us?

To the UK on the Northern Ireland & Ireland issue

Ireland may turn aggressive with the UK should the UK refuse to cede/relinquish Northern Ireland, I do not mean to add any pressure but I happen to hold this view.

Has the UK decided on this issue yet?

To Austria on the southern European front

Commintern forces will be hard pressed to advance through alpine mountain territory should defensive fortifications be built in strategic passes to protect from attacks by Bulgaria, Greece, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union. It may also be worth considering creating landslides and obstructions via the use of dynamite (obstruction, mudslide) or excessive irrigation (mud) in areas of steep incline.

All remaining Romanian forces have been deployed to the Austrian mountains where they are setting up defensive lines and preparing themselves for a long battle.

We NEED to hold Vienna, otherwise Italian forces will be cut off from the rest of the Pact. As it is we can barely replace our losses sustained in the war. We also propose that all of our joint navies work to destroy the Spanish and Russian navies to prevent them from threatening our commercial ships.

To Romania: That's good. :)

To Italy: The Commintern are not able to replace their losses. The Soviet Union in particular does not see a replenishment of it's staple infantry which has been reduced by a million foot soldiers. If this continues at the current rate then the Commintern will have lost the war in half a year to two.

That is if we outlast them, which is still in the air for debate since they still outnumber us and are progressing in territory.

I'd like some land-lease starting next round, I may need 1 to 2 IC for specific purposes I can not reveal. If this is refused Stonewall nations will be offered mercenary Hungarian troops as my military takes a vacation from the front.

What do u need 1 to 2 IC for? If u won't tell your allies, why should we give u the money?

The Commintern is already slowing in it's progress.

OK, I'm going to build a Great Factory to accumulate BP's for post-war rebuilding. It's just 1 IC.

A question was asked of who has troops in Austria. The answer is Denmark, Morroco, Hungary, and Romania.

Why does every alliance thread that Panda makes look the same?

Finland Checking in... research should be complete soon on elite infantry at which time we will spread it among alliance members... we fear to send our infentary away in case we fall under attack but our airforce and maybe even navy will continue to assist where we can we are also able to act as a staging ground for any future allied counter offensives into russia from the north.

This is thread is great for sharing information, but a supreme allied commander may be a good idea as well. Germany has nukes so I nominate Grandmaster, but since he isn't here Prime Minister Conehead of Britain has the most ICs.

I will be saving IC for a great factory, it will double my production.

Why is that?

Anyhow, Austria checking in...
Sorry I thought Hungary was Soviet...
at least it was according to Silvers map...

well, that could be because the Soviets have occupied Hungary to the main extent. Same with Romania.

I deny all notions of a supreme commander. If there were to be one, Italy would withdraw.

ooc: dont bother with a great factory right now, we have a war to fight and troops are needed, a great factory before the war would have helped but itll drain too much resources now.

on this idea of a Supreme commander allow me as mod to make a few comments.

1. This idea will indeed make the combined Allied forces more capable of coordinated fighting. For example i have had several situations already that could have been disasterous if orders hadnt been so much alike. In one case, the bulk of the Hungarian army would have been trapped without Italian tank support. it would also make offensives easier. of course this is not much of a concern for NPC allied forces, but if two major powers need to coordinate there could be difficulties.

2. there does not nessacarily need to be a supreme commander for ALL allied forces, fronts would work just as well.

3. I would recommend picking a commander based on skill rather than IC (no offense conehead, you're a decent general).
