Hammurabi has committed a grave error, in demanding wine from the Sumerian nation. While seeking a 'donation to the cause of world peace', Babylon has instead caused a war. The Babylonian empire has been beset by several nations, that King Gudea has formed into a military alliance. After years of war, Hammurabi's empire is in a shambles, with half of his mainland cities destroyed or captured. With Babylon now far from it's glory and unable to put up much of a fight, King Gudea has pulled his military forces back, to hopefully deal a fatal blow to a former ally.
Foreign Advisor- Supreme One, the alliance with the Hittites, Greeks and Persians, has come to an end. Mursilis was none to happy with our withdrawl and is curious about our forces roaming his border.
King Gudea- Give Mr. Mursilis this reason- "Our forces are attempting to capture the brigands, that have been robbing our trade caravans. Since you are doing nothing to ensure the safety of your Dye shipments to us, we will take it upon ourselves to capture or kill these bandits".
Foreign Advisor- I will inform him of our 'search for the bandits'.
King Gudea- It will soon be time to attack the Hittites. Are all military units in position?
Military Advisor- Yes, they are in position. Battle Group 1 has been divided and will invade from two directions.
Military Advisor- Battle Groups 2 & 3 are also in place, but group 3 is currently being blocked by the Ottomans. Osman has made peace with Persia and his forces are now heading towards Rome. So, that group may have to delay it's assault.

With the military alliance against Babylon coming to an end, King Gudea decides Hammurabi has learned his lesson.
Foreign Advisor- Hammurabi would not give up his knowledge on the Republic government. He did offer several towns located on a far-away island, but they would have been hard to protect. The town of Tell Wilaya is granted in the peace negotiations and is not out of our reach.
King Gudea- You did very well! I do not wish to transport our military across the Great Ocean.
King Gudea- I do not think our next war will go as smoothly!
Foreign Advisor- At this time, the Hittite empire is No.1 in territory, cities, military power and population.
King Gudea- Let us knock them down a notch or two! Are our forces ready?
Military Advisor- We are ready, my King. But, I must remind you that our military is still weak when compared to the Hittites, despite our buildup.
King Gudea- Declare war and invade! Make sure to capture as many Hittite citizens as possible, for the colosseum.
Domestic Advisor- I need to mention, that there rumors of discontent in outlying towns, over the deaths of so many captives in our great arena.
King Gudea- Keep me apprised of the situation.
Foreign Advisor- Mursilis was in a very foul mood.
Foreign Advisor- Our ambassador has made a formal declaration of war. Unfortunately, he could not move very fast, was caught fleeing and was beheaded.
King Gudea- He will soon be avenged!
The Sumerian Sword Armies and chariot units rushed forward in earnest, eager for Hittite blood. The clash of military units and the clang of steel upon steel, were soon heard throughout the land.
280 to 310 A.D.
Military Advisor- My King, we have destroyed two Hittite towns and captured a third. The town of Alalah was not burned down, cause it is located exactly where we would have built one. There is a barracks that we can make use of and something called a market, that were captured with the town. Battle Group 3 has still been delayed by Ottoman forces.
King Gudea- Make sure the population of Alalah does not rise up against you.
Domestic Advisor- Sir, a marketplace provides a central location for conducting trade, where citizens can offer goods and services, or seek them out. We must gain this knowledge, for you will gain tax revenue.
King Gudea- Once Mursilis is back on his heels, we will see if he offers up this knowledge about the marketplace.
290 A.D.
Military Advisor- The Hittite citizens in Alalah, were forced to work day and night, to erect walls for the city. Quite a few of them died in the process.
While King Gudea was listening to all the glowing reports from the military advisor, the foreign advisor ran into the throne room with urgent news.
Foreign Advisor- We have a problem, Great One! An Ottoman military unit has trespassed into our territory. They were kindly asked to leave our lands and they refused. Osman must have been looking for an oppurtunity, cause he has declared war.
Military Advisor- The Ottoman forces, returning from fighting the Persians, have headed north towards Agade Hill.
King Gudea- It is ironic that Battle Group 3 was blocked from moving by these forces and now is in the vicinity to engage them.
300 A.D.
Military Advisor- There are 15 Ottoman swordsman units and 3 spearman units, advancing on Agade Hill.
We have pulled back Battle Group 3 to defend Agade Hill; three Ottoman swordsman and one spearman unit were subsequently eliminated.
310 A.D.
Military Advisor- Sir, Ottoman military groups are still moving north and are now in range of our catapults. We lost two chariot groups, while taking out three Ottoman swordsman groups.
