Scientology is a dangerous cult, and it is in the best interests of you, of me, and of all citizens to stop it. This is just a small dose of what this cult is capable of, and it must end before more people are destroyed by their lunacy and greed. You can help (for free!) by spreading this link. Ultimately, we hope to spread this informative and disturbing clip far enough across the internet that when people search for Scientology, this will be the number one result.

I realize that this, is to an extent, encouraging spamming, but I ultimately believe that this will hurt the cause of what is a threat to innocent people everywhere.

I'm pretty sure there are bigger threats out then than Scientologists...

All the stuff in that horrible flash animation thing are well-known and available in way better formats than that.

While I think Scientology is a crock, I think the context in which you presented and started this thread is a bit trollish. You're not really looking for a discussion, but trying to start a bonfire.

Definitely. I wouldn't be complaining about Scientologists, when Muslims are out there rioting in the streets, killing people for some stupid comic strip, and forcing their children to practice Islam or otherwise face death.

That is pretty sad, though about the Lisa woman.

its a ytmnd, he probably created it and wants us to vote for it.

I refuse.

I found out a little about scientology myself and it is indeed a pyramid scheme intent on making money by fraud and deception. Nothing more nothing less. Why anyone would fall for it is beyond me, only religion I've seen where all those who subscribe are kept knowledgeless, and only when they are programmed do they rise to the exalted postion of knowing anything and recieving wealth. It's morally repugnant in many ways, and those who have escaped it's damaging influence seem to be unanimous in decrying it, that is if there not bullied into submission, or they die I supose.

Frankly you don't need this scare tactic stuff, just look into it yourself it's plain to see that it's a waste of space and, about as morally unsound as any religion can be without resorting to Satanism, pure fantasy and a capatilist one at that.

You don't need troll threads to expose it, just the will to find out stuff for yourself.

Well, that's hardly an argument for not doing something against them ...

True. What can be done though?

I kind of get the impression that Scientology hides behind the veil of religion to provide it some security. Attacking a pyramid scheme is far less contaversial than attacking a religion.

One can try and inform people, hopefully vaccinating them against Scientologist recruiters.

One should preferably do it in less trollish ways than VoidEvil.

To avoid trolling, Just a couple of questions about scientology.

Do they have rites, or sacraments, like Christianism?

If they do, what rites do they perform?

I believe in showing respect for all religions, no matter how odd they may be. I believe in tolerating the beliefs of anyone, no matter how strange.

I make an exception for Scientology. They ruin my perfect record but they are a religion in name only.

So what is scientology exactly?

Is scientology the stuff that evillucificionists use to discredit the bible?

I must say that I am against it.

It's a pyramid scheme thought up by a science fiction writer while he was on drugs.

No, seriously, that's a fairly accurate assessment of it. It was created by a science fiction writer named Ron Hubbard. (According to some accounts, he was actually using a lot of drugs while drafting some of his original scripts; pills mostly) It's basic premise is that the problems people have are caused by things called "Thetans". You see, according to Scientology, several million years ago a Galactic Confederacy existed, and it was headed by a being called Xenu, or Xemu. He was deposed, so he decided to kill off some of the excess population of the planets, (Ther ebeing 76 planets in the confederacy, each with an average of 178 billion people on it) and so he captured billions of people under the guise of "income tax inspections" with the help of chemicals and psychiatrists, and transported them to a primeval Earth using copies of the DC-8 plane, only a spaceplane. He then stacked the bodies around a giant volcano and blow them up with hydrogen bombs. The souls of these people are the "Thetans" that cause trouble for us today. Knowledge of this, and other things, can be gained by buying your way to the top in the Scientologist hierarchy; your money supporting the people already there. This is why it is similar to a pyramid scheme.

Oh yes - and after they were killed by the hydrogen bombs, their souls were collected by an "electric ribbon" and taken into a giant movie theater, where they were brainwashed into believing in God, the devil, and other things.

I wish I was making that up, but I'm not. To me, it sounds like a simply awful science fiction story written by someone who had a bet with a friend that he could write the lamest science fiction story ever, and people would like it. Apparently it worked. Never underestimate the stupidity of people in large groups. Wikipedia has a fairly good page on it.
