I am still pretty incompetent at Chinese history, so I don't really trust myself to make any really accurate maps of the world until I get back to college and its magnificent library.
You have to hunt down river data yourself, I think.
And by my previous comment, I was mostly referring to my home state and its attendant set of lakes. For some reason, having the distortion the opposite of what it usually is makes the whole place look about 10x more accurate.
I've always thought that the Bosphorus and HellespontBosporus and Dardanelles İstanbul Boğazı and Çanakkale Boğazı ought to be rivers on those maps.
A quick map request, if this is where we do it now. I simply want a black gridded map (recommend white lines for the grid). It needs to be fairly large, with the squares on the grid being at least an inch to an inch and a half in size. I'd like to do it myself, but it's tough going in paint to make everything just right. So if anyone has a better program for something like this, I'd be very happy.
I wouldn't mind a bit more Dead Sea and Kinneret for Iron Age placement purposes (as I complained to Symphony D. a long time ago), but I suppose I could just reference your modern map. Maybe also add Halys (river) and Van (lake) in Anatolia. Nothing else really sticks out just yet, aside from the colours. Good work!
I'm collecting together my coordinates for the Upper Yukon River- Symphony switched the headwaters of the river from the Yukon River to the Teslin River, on account of the Teslin being about 100 km longer, because of a few weird modern damming projects. How close do you want the coordinates to be?
