The very first song

Alot of my favorite songs I have on CD's and could upload back on my computer.
Best song on a CD I don't have is American Idiot by Green Day.

"Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones

system of a down - spiders

or something from their new album, damn those guys rule

Sheesh!! This is a hard one!

I'd probably go for a Bob Marley track. His music fits any situation, inspires and make you feel 'irie'. Now I guess I have to choose the ONE Bob Marley track

EDIT - Well that one track would have to be "One Love". I mean I can't think of a better feel good track. Now I gotta decide on a vershun.

maybe, Nothing Else Matter - Metallica

but since I got it on about 5 CDs I own, I wouldn't need to download it. In fact, if my computer exploded, I'd first spend a few weeks ripping my CDs to MP3 again...

Download? I wouldn't bother, I'd use either my backup CDs or Backup HD.

Lets say hypothetically that file sharing was legal. If your computer exploded tomorrow and you had to begin rebuilding your music collection, which song do you think would be the very first one you'd download?
It would have to be something soothing.

Oddly enough, the first song on my PC was the Soviet Union National Anthem. Mainly because I had downloaded it onto the PC before it was mine, then deleted the rest of the songs.

I'm thinking "A Question of Heaven" by Iced Earth, because it's long enough for me to download 3 other songs by the time it's done. Also, it's a great song. ;)

I prefer to download album instead of single songs.
Don't know where to start though, maybe with some of the 4.3 GB of Hawkwind I have...

Hmmm. A difficult question.
maybe.....Ever fallen in love (with someone you shouldn'tve fallen in love with?) bu the Buzzcocks.
Mine would be the first single I ever bought. The Buzzcocks - Spiral Scratch, which features the simple classic which turned me on to Punk... 'Boredom'.

If the nerve centre of my CPU music collection was kaput, I would begin again with the essentials:

Testament, Morbid Angel, Slayer and Nile.

The actual song?

Probably 'Angel of Death' by Slayer.

PS
I copy my music to computer from my collection, I don't approve of piracy.

:)

Very tough one but I'd probably go for an acoustic version of a good rock song. Songs always sound more genuine on acoustic.

November Rain by Guns & Roses was good acoustically
