That's rarely an issue: it does however make you subject to any obligations incurred from the citizenship of either country, for example military service. I'm fairly sure that you would be issued with two passports, but your citizenship may be indicated on both.

but your citizenship may be indicated on both.

Im really interested in how this works in other countries. Especially in the US and EU. Double citizenship is not legal here, but as of yesterday its 100% surdent it will be. I really hope its not indicated in either passports that i have double citizenship. I hope to become a diplomatic ninja

What is the feasibility of using air current generators to protect a target from snipers?

You mean a gigantic fan? Zero.

What is the rationale behind US titles for books being frequently different from their British ones or translations of the original?

Yes, but even with all the effort of putting one up, would any right-minded security service let its guard down sufficiently to allow the sniper even a chance of taking a - judged or lucky - shot at the President? If not, why bother with the fan in the first place?

How do you know it's "frequent"?

A few dozen is a small fraction of a thousand. Seems like it should then be interpreted on a case-by-case basis and not as a sign of a general trend.

That can even get dumber.
Saw it once for a dubbed (into German) movie. Title: American Fighter. Original title: American Ninja.
WTH!?! Translated an English title into another English title, for a movie which has been dubbed. Additional bonus points: Re-translated title is less understandable for the target audience than the original title.

Because the marketing people at the publishing company think that they know that one title is more likely to sell well than another title. Which doesn't mean that they are right, but that's what they think.

Are erasers toxic? If not, how long would you expect it to take for a small one (off the end of a mechanical pencil) to pass through the digestive system?

If its a baby that ate it, go see a doctor.
If its a kid or adult I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I may apply for double citizenship.. What does this mean to my international identity? Do I get two seperate passports or do I get one double? If the former, will I be able to completely hide my citizenship to one of the countries when I travel?

Also: Do you know of any cons of having double citizenship?
I'm not sure if you can hide it totally - any new passport will still have your place of birth (I'm presuming your second nationality will be for a country other than that of your birth)

I have family with dual Irish and American citizenship - one cousin was in the habit of leaving the US on his American passport and arriving into Europe on his Irish one - he was caught and given a stern talking to by the US authorities so he travels on only one now.

I know people can be given two passports to allow them to travel to both Israel and the middle east (Israeli stamps in one, middle eastern ones in another) but this is very rare and presumably you would need a good reason to have this.

Thanks! No its actually my birth country im applying for. Do you know what the US authorities had against him doing it? I cant see why, they should still be able to track him, I dont know?

I can't remember what the exact reason was but I think it was down to the paper trial of stamps - leaving the US his US passport wouldn't be stamped or recorded, arriving into Europe his Irish passport wouldn't be stamped or recorded so he was travelling without any record being made on either of his passports. They didn't like that.

It looks like you've absconded if you leave a country with no record of where you end up.

Thanks this most be it. Detail being that he was shifting during travel, rather than in between travel. Makes sense this could be suspicous

Well in that case I guess I'm fine. I've eaten worse things.
