Is there any quick, efficient way to put up screenshots on here without going through all that photobucket business? I'm thinking about starting a new story in Civ IV S&T but I definitely am not going to waste all that time uploading images.

I highly recommend puush.

Dropped imgur for it a year ago and have never looked back.

I find it to be less of a hassle uploading images on imgur than using the CFC upload feature, and last time I checked, the upload feature made a series of small thumbnails that made it pretty inconvenient for the reader.
Nope. I used the CFC upload feature in this AAR and all I had to do was use IMG tags.

Looking at that mod makes me wish I hadn't lost my Warlords disk.:(
Might have to buy it off Amazon.

What is this upload feature? Do you just mean the attachments option? Also, boo, hiss, lazy map making in that scenario.

I use sImgurUploader a lot these days:

It requires a free imgur API key and you drag and drop the image onto the executable and it uploads it and copies the link to your clipboard. Its really quite handy.

If I write my G1 (the written exam, not the driver's exam) in Ontario and then move to British Columbia a couple months later, is the G1 valid or will I have to rewrite it?

Figured it out myself. It doesn't convert.

I don't want to derail the exercise thread, so I am going to post my question here...

Why are you guys calling it barefoot running if you're wearing -any- sort of footwear? Barefoot is, well, barefoot.

I think barefoot describes actually-barefoot running, and minimalist running or whatever that term is describes running with shoes that have minimal padding/rubber/whatever so it is close to barefoot running.

Barefoot and minimalist are often used as synonyms... The only real difference between totally barefoot and minimalist footwear is the fact that the latter offers some basic protection against the elements but is made to offer very little if not any support or unnecessary features. They conform to the shape of your feet and shouldn't be loose and are meant to be worn like a really well-fitting sock.

My favourite khakis have ripped in the back and the button popped off. I have no way of having this fixed. These khakis also happened to be the only pair of pants I had that were comfortable and worked well with my mantra of wearing two pairs of pants (fleece pajama pants) during the winter months as it would contain the pants under it just fine and it'd stretch just enough to make it not look silly.

So, I'm kind of looking for a new pair of stretchy khakis and some type of leg warmers. Wearing fleece under the main pair of pants is a bit bothersome, and I realize that it working out conveniently is probably a rarity rather than something I can easily find again. I'd like leg warmers that are just like pants, they just end halfway down the calves and, well... they... warm your legs.

Canadian, so stores that ship to Canada vastly preferred. Any guys have some experience on this front?

I'm fond of the stuff they sell at Mark's Work Wearhouse. They also sell pants with a fleece layer bonded to it underneath. Warm as toast, but very thick and will limit your movement a little.

I just looked up some thermal underwear from that store, it seems to be just what I'm looking for. What size do you usually get? Their sizing chart only provides waist measurements and that places me in XL and I get the feeling that it'll be way too long as a result. For perspective, I'm 40x32.

Get large for that size, not XL.

Thanks, I found some awesome pants from that store while I was at it, so I'm all set now I think. Thanks again!

How do I overcome addiction to Civilization?

I tried smashing the discs with a hammer. Didn't work. I just bought some more.

In the end I just got fed up with the thing.

Take holiday for 2 weeks, and try playing that time straight through.
Maybe you're afterwards really fed up.
Or maybe not.
But worth a try.

Ah, that helps a lot.
Recently bought trousers here, and just had to test, because they're selling it here with the American sizes in inch (unless they're labeled with alpha sizes).
But incredible, I fit into S o_O (32, but barely).

By getting addicted to other games and realizing civ isn't as complex or fulfilling as it once was.

(then realize that your new games aren't as complex or fulfilling as they once were, and find yourself in an endless cycle of never finding any good strategy games. I'm really banking on Banished though)

It always comes back to Civ IV. Always. EUIII didn't last, and I've just realized how utterly silly the entire Total War series is.

Curse you Leoreth! Stahp developing your mod!
