I'm thinking about how I could do it with the screenshots, which would be required. Gotta sign up for imgur to host the images. Might put it together in another month or two when I have more free time.

If you have a Gmail account you can use picasaweb for hosting images.

Are movie theaters required to accommodate the blind?

Sir B, Fridays must do interesting things to your internal life. That's quite the mental picture!

I'm trying to imagine how that works right now. But seriously though, I really am curious about the answer. And perhaps also with the more general topic of what reasonable accommodations should businesses be legally mandated to provide.

I've just come across some braille pornography in my cupboard and it's got me thinking.

Spoiler :
No. I haven't really. It's just the old scratch and sniff stuff as usual.

Some do actually give screenings with audio descriptions, which allow you to watch a film almost as if it were a radio play - I can imagine that working quite well with some. It's not legally mandated, though, on the grounds (I imagine) that it's qualitatively different from actually watching a film - it's a 'next best thing', if you like, but it's not a case of the movie theatre allowing disabled people to enjoy their product (which is impossible) but rather putting on a different product that is close. I imagine there's also a general reluctance in law to mess around with artworks and mandate that the creator's vision be changed. I've also seen advertised autism-friendly screenings with fewer flashes, bangs and the like.

What ever happened to Mr Crackerbox? I quite liked the objectionable old coot. I couldn't talk to him though.

Perhaps he swept Gori off his feet and they're away on honeymoon.

During the Cold War, presidents starting with John F. Kennedy leveraged manned spaceflight to increase U.S. political prestige through technological credibility and capability. Space exploration was secondary. Other avenues for achieving prestige were considered, such as large-scale ocean desalinization programs, but they were rejected.
WTH, did this really happen, America?

Never underestimate how much easier it was probably to put men on the moon instead of large scale ocean desalinization. Which probably doesn't mean rendering oceans dead, just the production of a crap-ton of fresh water.

Where am I now?

Where was I yesterday?

Where will I be tomorrow?

These, I feel, are all highly pertinent questions. But it's probably not worth starting a new thread for each one.

I give in. We're going round in circles. I'm not sure I'm not sorry I asked now.
