The World Turned Upside Down II

Somalia is a sovereign state and is free to make its own choices. If they agree to let us manage their refineries from our vast experiences in the jungles of South America and the deserts of North America, then we shall do so.

We are more than happy to have your company within our nation. We will have an open door policy.

We don't want any conflict to occur between you two. Perhaps it could be a joint effort between the three of us.

Thanks, we need all of the help we can get.

We hope that history can be put aside, and together, along with Germania, we can help to rebuild our mutual homeland, Europe. We hope that Co-operation between our nations can blossom, and that our friendship can be the envy of other national friendships across the world.

Indeed, we hope that this outcome proves to be the case. Let bygones be bygones. We need to press into the future.

If the USSR honestly seeks reconciliation with Germania then we will accept it. It has been a long time since conflict and there is no need to maintain it, not when things greater than all of us lie on the horizon.

@carmen, been away for a couple hours. Hold your stolen monuments or whatever you're taking from the world.

We never once saw anything wrong in Lindbergh's strategems. We think he and his administration were the best things to ever happen to the former United States.

Rest assured, we are not sending aid to the UFS, and never have done. In fact the UFS has lived the entirety of its existence without foreign aid. Nor did we ever say we would send the UFS aid. We merely mentioned that we support them as the legitimate UFS government. If chance should have it that they cannot maintain the Union, then what will be will be as that is the mark of a weak leader. It is not our place to meddle in their affairs, you're right, but it is ours to announce what government we think legitimate.

To Germania
From CLS

The murder of hundreds of American representatives and diplomats is not what we would call a legitimate move. Leaders of all types of governments should agree on this, lest we live in a world of assassinations, anarchy, and terror.

And we are not seeking to be a replacement for the UFS government, instead we are seeking to be a separate, equal government. We do not claim to be a legitimate government of all of the UFS, just of the CLS.

In any case, we respect German neutrality, and hope it remains so.

@EQ: What are my levels in the different spending fields? What level is my income? The rules don't seem to match my stats in anyway so how do I figure my spending?

We are not interested in discussing the issue any further. Have your civil war.

Vietnam is interested in selling off 25 of her destroyers and her 2 old battleships. The minimum price is 900M per destroyer and 1800M per battleship. Private bids will also be taken into consideration. Note, this is a savings of 100M per destroyer and 200M per battleship.

The Peoples Communist Party of Argentina releases the finalized document of Argentina's 2nd 5 year plan for economic growth: 1980 - 1985

The key areas of development being focused on are Education and Agriculture. Plans are to improve the average number of years of schooling of the Argentinian population from the current amount of 11.5 years per person to 12.5 years per person by 1985. This is to be achieved by encouraging children children to attend the full amount of school years available to them and by encouraging the older people of Argentina to attend the states colleges and universities.

Plans for improving the agriculture output of Argentina rely on improved mechanization in the states collective farms by importing in modernized agricultural equipment from the Soviet Union and releasing more land for farming. It is expected that with the more than adequate budget allocated for this that Argentina's agricultural output can be improved by 21% by 1985 which will make Argentina one of the worlds leading exporters of agricultural products.

The last Industry with a substantial focus in the budget is Argentina's oil Industry. With a decline in the worlds oil output Argentina will look to bring in Soviet oil specialists and more modern oil pumps to increase the longivity of Argentina's current oil fields. Soviet specialists will attempt to find new untapped deposits of oil in the vast unexplored southern regions of Argentina. Argentina's oil Industry is not expected to receive much if any growth during this 5 year plan however if new fields are discovered the potential is their for a large boost in the future.

Some other major Industries expected to receive significant funding is the coal Industry. Expected to receive an estimated output increase of 16% minimum by 1985. The fishing Industry expected to increase by 5%. Argentina's Automobile Industry is expected to boom with increased demand expected to come from Bolivia and Uruguay in the next 5 years. Many other Industries have been budgeted for investment however have received much less publicity from Argentina's state run Media.

Since I couldn't join the original TWTUD nor ABNW, I would like to state my wish to join TWTUD II!

EQ, mind telling me which nations would be the best for a rookie to pick? If you think Andalusia is among them, I'll take it!

NOTE: Since I'm not very sure of how the money system in here works (I already understand the IC from TWTUD and ABNW, more or less) would you mind explaining it again? Thank you!

The fortefied Boarder gate that exists between our two nations shall be thrown open to trade.

We also propose between our nations a Trans-European Trade Pact between our nations, highlighting a new age in European Relations.

@lucky, that's merely a misprint on my behalf. All income levels are at (1).

@Milarqui, it's hard to explain the economy without already repeating everything I said in the rules. If you reread them and ask me more specific questions, I may be able to help you understand them more. Andalusia could be still a fun nation to play, it's nice and more or less out of the way. Plus it avoided the horrors of the Great European War, so they have a sizeable amount of resources and people.

I want to join this- any advice as to who to play? I'm strongly leaning towards a coporation.
