Kingdom of Lyonesse:

History: Descend from the retinues of Irish, Breton, welsh, and cornish nobles escaping from growing british and french persecution. They have a high king, elected by kings and clan leaders, and on the whole tend towards a very uncentralized people. They have a generally decent relationship with native groups, many of whom have been subsumed into Lyonesian political structure. Immigration from overseas is starting to strain the hide-bound and traditional society.

The Baaid Maghreb:

The young Sultan Jafar Ibn Harun of the Zidanid dynasty was greatly taken by the viking Sagas, which had been recently translated into Arabic. Putting much of his fortune into this expedition, he imported skilled arabic and european shipwrights, and put them to work building an exploration fleet. Jafar argued that the tales spoke of riches beyond measure, and that the gains of the expedition would be well worth the costs.

On August 3rd, 1421 AD, ten ships set sail under great pomp and circumstances, instructed to find the lands to the west for the glory of Allah. The ships were commanded by Muhammad the Explorer, a cousin and childhood friend of the sultan, and carried aboard a number of scholars, teachers, and sages, tasked with recording everything they saw, and a number of colonists, tasked with building a colony.
On the 12th of October, land was spotted. Setting ashore, it was determined that these lands were inhabited by tribes of semi-sedentary people who referred to themselves as the Taino, and the island on which they lived as Ayiti. Determining that the Taino had no kings, nor knew of the Allah, Muhammad’s expedition claimed the Island for the Sultan and for Allah, and set the colonists ashore to build the first Arabic Colony, Baaid Tangeirs. Muhammad stayed with the colony for a year, exploring and claiming the larger islands of Al-tain’i, Boriken, Xaymaca, and Al-Carib, for the Sultan, before taking five ships and sailing back to Morocco.

Over the next years, numerous colonies were established, repatriating both Moroccans and Andalusians, while the wealth of the Baaid Maghreb flowed back over the ocean. Now, The Baaid Maghreb is a decadent court, independent of the old world, where rich oligarchs and merchants curry favor at the court of a sultan whose only interests are women and hunting. With the growing disconnect between the elite and the poor, a simmering population exists, with the words on the lips of many drawn straight from the (illegal) book “The People’s Blanket.” This book purports to explain and outline a new form of society, which is the natural progression from feudal society, wherein the population reclaims it’s means of production.

History: Danish explorer and Russian naval officer Vitus Bering lead several exploration missions by command of Tsar Peter III to map the lands beyond Russia's eastern borders in the 1720s and early 1730s. Siberia was icy cold but rich in ether and the eastern waters provided a sea connection to the North American continent. So a Russian colony was established at the tip of the Kamchatka peninsula, a harbour town named Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, but in this distant corner of the world so far away from Moscow the Tsar held only nominal power. Vitus Bering became the de facto leader of Kamchatka and by his death in 1741 colonists of both Russian and Danish origin had declared themselves independent, establishing the Bering Republic. From the 1780s and onward new trading posts have been opened, expanding the Bering lands beyond the Kamchatka peninsula to its current extent stretching from the Anadyr River in the north to the island of Iturup in the south.

The Bering Republic is a relatively new nation and while the original colony was established to secure ether resources the Bering economy relies heavily on fishing, whaling, and fur trade. Most Beringers are either of Russian descent or Siberian natives but Danish families are prominent in society, especially within the growing industrial sector as influx of Scandinavian immigrants brought with them many eccentric industrialists who seeked to follow in the footsteps of their compatriot Vitus Bering.

Will expand later, just staking my claim for now :)

Looking at Nanjing, will prepare submission later. This looks kool!

Back to Japan it is! >_>

For my history I am toying with a succession of succession wars that would result in the nations of Britain being more autonomous in a union. I am wondering how this would play out in the colonial scene, particularly as whether or not the Scottish efforts for Panama came to be more successful or it remains as it be.

I updated my core claims with a little bit more land to the northwest just to cover the mouth of the Penzhina river.

On another note, something I'm interested in getting to know is how the Faroe Islands became a part of the British Commonwealth.

I think I got carried away...

Though a clash may or may not have occurred...

Edited my claims and expanded a bit my history.

History:

Since the early 1700s, many colonial outposts were established on the coast of the Indian continent. Britain, Portugal, and France all had stakes in the fate of the Indian people. As economic and social situations worsened for the Indian people, religious authorities started to shun the Muslim religion that had held sway in India for so long. Soon, a group of insurgents near Delhi, calling themselves the Baraja, led attacks against the kingdoms in North India, and eventually conquered the midsection of the Ganges river. Spreading east and west, the Baraja gained the support of the people as well as the Buddhist and Hindu religious leaders. Eventually, using superior military tactics, the Baraja conquered several colonial cities such as Bombay and Calcutta and established Indian rule in these cities. Trade with foreigners was still allowed, but heavily regulated and taxed, which brought wealth to the social elite in the Baraja Empire. Scientists invested heavily in the European technology they found in Bombay and Calcutta, as well as the technology they gained from trade with the Middle East.
