It's actually possible to get (uncompressed) image files to load into Audacity and then seriously screw them up by applying various effects and re-exporting them.

Today I learned about the "world's smallest self-replicating program." It's an empty file. It won an award for being the "Worst Abuse of the Rules" and the International Obfuscated C Code Contest later required all submissions to be at least 1 byte long.

Til (by reading the text) that the tie between the monstrous Typhon (Typhoon in english), son of Gaia and Tartarus and antagonist of Zeus, and the catastrophic winds, already is there in the Theogonia. Specifically, Typhon is said by Hesiod to be the cause of the "moist rage of the winds" that sink ships or cause havoc in the land.

Actually, in the Anglic tongue Typhoon is the tai-fun, the supreme wind of Southeast Asia.
Typhon is the monster.

Typhon is the monster.

Strange coincidence if so; i mean the other tie is rather glaring, no?

Typhon, of course, is also the route term of Typhoid, and in ancient greek is spelled in a few variations, eg Typho, Typhoeys, Typhon etc.

"been originated by"?? What happened to "originated from"?

I would disagree, based on my limited knowledge of the language, at least regarding Chinese, is that ‘tai’ by its own already means something like ‘Supreme’. See tai-tai, tai-pan, taikun (Japanese, borrowed into English as tycoon) as well as tai-fun.

TIL someone else took over the CDG name and made a forum, not all that surprising since CDG/Evo-Games withered and died sometime between 2007-2009 if i remember correctly....
Edit: The kitty emoji i wanted is gone. Lost to the Internets forever.

Moderator Action: Bestiality is not an appropriate topic for CFC. Further, rather than posting about how the mods aren't going to like a thread direction, simply report it and don't participate, because that could be easily viewed as PDMA.

From Wiktionary

typhoon
Etymology
Its ultimate origin is generally thought to be Sinitic 大風 ("big wind", Mandarin dàfēng, Cantonese daai6 fung1).

It entered English as early as 1588,[1] perhaps via Portuguese tufão (attested since at least 1560)[2] from Arabic طُوفَان (ṭūfān) (compare Persian طوفان (tufân), Hindi तूफ़ान (tūfān)).[3][4][5]

Within English, its form was influenced by Ancient Greek Τυφῶν (Tuphôn, “Typhon, father of the winds”).[6] (Some sources suggest the term originated in Greek and travelled via Arabic to Chinese before making its way back to Europe,[3] but this is implausible.)

Hope it helps.
