Due to VERY strong differences in aproaching a tactical situation General Eisenhower sees it fit to resign from the Californian Army before he is fired by his superiors.

Erich Ludendorff requests a comission in the German Army. I swear to God this is the last switch.

Well, for one, Russia extends pretty far into Asia. Not to mention that Australia and India, British colonies, are in that region. Besides, it's 1914, the massive imperialist drive has already happened, so shouldn't Western forces be all over the Pacific and Asia?

Ludendorff arrived yesterday. As he walked to the Headquarters of the 8th Army the clouds gathered, coming from the West, ready for a storm. He had an aura about him, an aura of strong will, and it seemed that he could, if he wanted to, command not only his men but nature itself.

To be weak is miserable,
Doing or suffering.

Some say a man makes himself into what he wants. It was not true with Ludendorff. His will made him the man he was. His strong, unbreakable will to do whatever it will take to reach a goal he has set before him. For him anything was possible as long as you were willing to do what it took, and he was.

Yet from those flames
No light, but rather darkness visible.

With this man marched Germany. A nation ready to do what it would take to win. Ready to sacrifice what had to be sacrificed. Ready for anything. And the brilliant, although sometimes short-tempered Ludendorff was going to lead it into its finest hour.

Here we may reign secure; and in my choice
To reign is worth ambition, though in hell:
Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.

And, unlike Alcibiades, SB doesn't even have a good excuse (Alcib was expected to be nice and come to be trialed for a horrible crime which he didn't neccessarily commit by a bunch of old men who hate him like nothing else. Obviously, he decided to got the Spartans instead. The Athenians were quite surprised.)
