They will not check guns unless they are in locked cases. If you try to take them past security onto the plane then you're going to be arrested, much less be allowed onto the flight. It doesn't matter if they're loaded or not.

The problem is that the TSA is way behind on their harassing unarmed arab men quota, and now they're wasting time with these good, upstanding American citizens who want nothing more than to exercise their god-given 2nd amendment rights in the transportation option of their choice, and what's more, the TSA is doing this while on the clock and with OUR HARD EARNED TAX DOLLARS!

I think that everyone goes through security, and has their carry on baggage checked... at least in every single Western airport I've ever been to...

TSA, in America, spends time randomly checking other people further, too... good. It's sad that it's almost as hard to re-enter America as it is to enter Israel as a foreigner, but I'd rather be inconvenienced than blowed up.

It is nothing compared to what a suspected Muslim has to go through to fly on El Al. And very few Americans are "inconvenienced" at all other than having their luggage checked and verified that it is theirs.
