Turn Discusion T 119-130

What are we doing for our next Great Person? We should be pushing for a prophet and should no longer be running any spys.

I would suggest holding off on the invasion of MHI. As long as M&M stay in the game the ETTT will stay in place. But once they are knocked out the ETTT falls apart really fast. It is in our interest to boost up our economy so that when the ETTT does fall apart we are in a stronger position.

Absolutely agree with this. We need to recover from the war, we need time to settle and grow our cities on our newly conquered land.

Also, more trivial, M&M have so much of an army, that it will be a bloodbath if we invade them on their home islands. I say we to build in peace, tech with our allies and on a given stage of the game - say Rifles, just go and kill all of Merlots and take their home island with minimal losses and stable economy backing us.

We should not tell allies we are rebuilding instead of warring. Let them think they have to race us to conquer and grab M&Ms land.

We should not stop running spies. Now that we have a good imbedded espionage rate, we need to get a Great Spy to hold in reserve for when thd ETTT breaks up. The Massive Espy boost will be a devastating blow to whoever we end up against. We will instantly be able to steal their tech.

On side note, I care for our finances too, so can you please check did I canceled the 10 GPT deal to Sirius, as I dont remember for sure.
It seems the deal with Sirius cant be cancelled for another 2 turns. Does that mean we overpaid?

Anyway, I set the Next build of all the home island cities to Libraries. If you think this is not good then lets talk about it here. Next, Ill post a tech poll soon, maybe that will get some discussion going.

Also, after thinking about it, I say we should go ahead and keep the Turnpike. Three inland cities (Vandal, Sangre and Turnpike) with high production will be much less vunerable to naval attack, and we can defend all three cities with a garrison hidden on the Cow in the valley between the hills which all three cities sit on. We also cant afford to waste time building settlers to resettle all those areas. Better to just stick with whats there and try to catch up.

I canceled our Gifted Horse to Sirius, as they have their own Horses now, I also offered Ivory for Pigs to them, as we have no pigs and could use the Health to keep growing Otreta and Themiscyra.

Nope. The first GPT I canceled just at time. This is a second loan - I asked 100 gold from them to upgrade a crucial unit in Nabaxica in the midst of the Battle for Nabaxica.

I am 50:50 about this. But I think the security of the inland cities is the key factor when neighboring a sea power-house like CDZ and weights the choice to keep them.

When you think it will be OK to offer The Library for Sangre exchange?

Some diplomatic announce or note sent to our allies can help point their thoughts to where we want them. Something like "Congrats to you, we are happy that you make war, hurt M&M and take their lands just as we are doing the same. Keep up the good work, we look for the near end of M&M menace with our combined efforts."

Can you please compose something like this SS?

Looking at the game log, it seems that Sirius and Q are finally attacking Mavs, concentrating their attack on the Mavs Home Island. So I don't know if we need to encourage them to fight anymore.

But maybe a note of Congrats are still in order... what do you think?

We also need to Exchange Maps with Sirius to see if they are razing or keeping the Mavs cities. Hopefully razing, so that they have to spend time resettling. Probably razing, because I doubt that Q and Sirius could reach an agreement on sharing all those wonders. Those two teams seem very stubborn in negotiation for land.

Mavs are counterattacking the city Sirius just took with a large force, so this should be very interesting. Perhaps they have a long bloody struggle on their hands. Also, Mavs are building a big stack on Comet. I am hoping they plan to use it to invade Bode, rather than assault Nabaxica again, as Marthaton is now lost to them. If Mavs can bog Sirius and Q down a little this might give us the chance to catch up. Either way, Quatronia is going to have a tough time getting rid of The Mavs on Comet.

Finally, I would say offer the Exchange right away, or right after we capture Turnpike. In the in game message/diplo window, you can put some thing like...."As per our treaty the Klepto-MAZON" so they will remember that Marthaton is ours and the other land is theirs. Better to do it sooner, before they start making plans for the city.
