[TUTORIAL] Getting Civ4 Objects into Blender WITHOUT nifscripts

This tutorial are for those that got Blender working but have issues installing nifscripts (so they can't import civ4 files directly) or are using a later version of blender.

Ha, nice. This is how I always convert units, since it's easier to customize units. All you need is a civ4 unit with a piece that you like and you can export it to obj for use with any model. That's how I did the Elf Archer (as well as most of my WHFB units).
Unfortunately this doesn't allow animation conversions, does it?
 
Doggone it. I'm having trouble converting Deliverator's Civ4 Scorpions and was hoping there was another way to do it. When I import the model with a .kf nothing happens and I get a Python error. But that's a question for the main C&C forum that I will post if it doesn't get better eventually.
