Two Amazon Spear Units (30-Oct-2004)

I thank you for your kind consideration, and I'm glad that you're giving back to the community. As for specific outfits, I'd go with something sort of along the lines of a semi-traditional 15th century dress, but with some chainmail armor under the bodice (or over, if you can't find anything that'll fit under such a dress) on her upper half (and if the skirt is on the short side, some chain or leather boots or some such as well). For an sort of example of what I'm talking about, here's a pic of a female musketeer I'm working on, but the archer should have much less plate armor, a longer skirt and either a pikeman's pot, archer's skullcap or robin-hood type hat (or nothing at all) on her head.

Alternatively (and more up your usual alley), I have an idea for one of the UU's for one of the civs in my mod, which will be a blonde chick wearing a white leotard, white knee-high, high-heeled boots, civ-colored cape, sheer tights (a.k.a. pantyhose) and armed with a crossbow. That one's based on Rosa from FF IV, if you know what I'm referring to.

I knew there was a reason I was drawn to doing units in jungle type clothing (and lack thereof), it makes for a much more tractable clothes budget...
On a somewhat more serious vein, I am currently dependent of models produced by others which seriously constrains what I can do. I will be on the lookout for clothes and prop models that fit requests. It will just take a while...

No problem. The ranger type unit doesn't even have to be that close to what I said. Any medieval looking outfit would work (i.e. femme version of Robin Hood). Since you have Vicky 3, and I'm registered at Renderosity (which has gajillions of outfits for Vicky 3), I could search for stuff for you to use.

Oh, so that's why you were making nekkid units, eh? Riiiiiiiiight...:D

Just noticed your sig, HT, that is funny. Digital Camouflage for the Airforce and Navy, anyone?

I actually think the ancient units are fine with 'nudity' as the level of acceptable nudity changes with time and society (with the more primitive usually allowing for more nudity). You could always post a warning and/or not post a preview for the unit.

ON THE OTHER HAND HOWEVER, if you have ideas you can't clothe with your current 'wardrobe' if you post a request list we might be able to scrounge some things up for you! Not having the time (or probably the skill  ) might not rule out some of your fans contributing! There are many 'clothed' units (like the Khmer royal guard and the Dahomey amazons in particular) that I'm sure would be popular additions!

Hi Parthius,

here is the model I referred to in my pm.
