I've seen some threads started by UFO witnesses. Most of the responses to these threads are spam (I admit to contributing :( ), so I decided to start a thread where people can claim to have seen UFOs all in one thread and to (Hopefully) give the moderators a little breathing room.

Well I have seen flying objects I have been unable to identify.

Then again my knowledge of aircraft and alike isn't very good.

I'm really sceptical of all UFO claims. You would need to demonstrate the feasibility of interstellar travel before I even listened.

Nope.

It's just swamp gas or weather balloons.

nope... once i saw a GREEN coloured fiery object crossing the sky...but i think it was a damaged satellite.

In a universe as big as ours, the possibility of a civilization that not only understands such travel better than we do, but has mastered it is not impossible.

That really depends on what I have ingested that particular day.

I think it was Allah flying that UFO through my peanut butter jar that day I ate the expired fish.

I saw one once:

I drew a picture of what it looked like:

I can't really believe that aliens have been to earth yet. Why would they keep it such a secret? And if they are trying to keep it a secret, I'm sure they would have the technology to make sure that no one sees a UFO.

Of course it's not impossible. But consider this: the cartoons you watched growing up were drawn before we ever seriously started looking for ET; the first planets to be found outside the Solar System were found after I, and most of this forum, were born. We simply have so little information about the odds of life being around, the odds of life ever being able to develop interstellar communication or travel, and the odds that said life is concurrent with us, to even begin to seriously speculate about the likely hood of aliens flying around in our atmosphere.

I think the biggest barrier might be concurrence. We humans have been notable for less than 10,000 years. Before that, we were maybe a bit more remarkable to an alien taxonomist than social insects. That's a mind-bogglingly tiny window of time when compared to the age of the planet, let alone the universe. If the odds are good for life being elsewhere, and even good for intelligent life being elsewhere, I'm skeptical that it arises nearly at the same time as we did.

While I would bet quite a bit of money on life existing all over the universe (at least at some point in time) I am quite sceptical about betting on if we ever discover or receive proof.

or it might mean our sky is crowded with ufos at this current time.
all we see are the malfunctioning ones. :undecide:

I see them all the time. They look like this:

Oh, i thought this thread is about unidentified floating objects. Mah bad.

I see UFOs all the time, especially at night. Are any of them from another planet? Who would want to spend their time watching us? Bored anthropologists who want to study a hopelessly backward civilization? Not likely...

Back in the 90s, I once saw a UFO hovering over Central Park after other people looking up started pointing at it. It looked like a metal sphere and may be the same as the one featured at this website.

I suspect it is a surveillance craft of some sort.

The simple fact of the matter is, as Formaldehyde points out, regardless of the argument of whether or not aliens exist and so on and so forth, assuming that they do and have the capability to reach us, why would they want to? Personally, I do think that aliens exist as a matter of pure reason considering the size of the universe, but I highly doubt they have ever visited Earth, or would have any reason to do so in the near future.

UFO just means 'unidentified flying object'... It does not imply intelligent life.. it just means there's something flying around that you haven't been able to identify

Anything weird you see in the sky that's flying around that you can't quite figure out what it is, is a UFO. Seeing a UFO in the sky doesn't mean you believe that aliens exist, it just means you have seen something in the sky that you can't explain

I don't personally believe in extra-terrestrial life and I'm extremely sceptical of anyone who claims to have seen a UFO.
