Update XXII - September 1, 1939 - November 1, 1939

Just a FYI guys, I’ve installed a new graphics mod in advance of this update, so don’t be too put off by the screenshots. I think it works really well, been enjoying it with my games.

So first up is a rather surprising turn of events in Europe, where following their massive number of victories against Spain, England are surprised by a joint attack from Ireland and Scotland, the latter of which just hiding all along following their ‘defeat.’ Rather than fight the huge English armies, the two nations simply float across the Atlantic to meet with their friends in Canada.

subi001.png

But they discover a problem. Not only has Canada been conquered, but is in a state of total shock about it all!

subi002.png

So that plan goes right out the window, and now Scotland and Ireland are stuck in a difficult situation - it’s not safe to be a small country wandering the Atlantic at night unsupervised. You never know who might take advantage of you . The United States on one side, England and Spain on the other, and all sorts of medium-sized countries in the south…

Which is why it’s such a surprise when Liechtenstein attacks.

subi003.png

At this point the other nations will simply gang up on Liechtenstein - nuclear weapons or not, it’s not as if they can withstand any sort of conventional attack. In a remarkable show of AI solidarity, every nation (except Liechtenstein) signs an immediate cease-fire with each other, unite their armies and march to take their joint enemy. At this point I believe the game could be over, except I’m wrong. I’m used to that. Because I’m SuperBeaverInc.

Also it’s because four years of total war between every country in the world has reduced the manpower of the entire population of Earth (except Liechtenstein) to, well, the exact population of Liechtenstein. As such, in the GREAT FINAL BATTLE FOR THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY, there’s only a few tens of thousands of soldiers engaged. And Liechtenstein just nukes them.

So that’s the end. I would post final statistics on who came where but, really, it’s basically Liechtenstein, then everyone else behind them. Did anyone have Liechtenstein? Anyone?

Oh. They sure fooled us! Thanks for reading folks, it's been a blast.

Yay! awesome, tankyou

Update XXII - September 1, 1939 - November 1, 1939

The English are still all over the place. They have gained ground in the north, taking most of Finland from the Russians. The English are losing ground in the west, with Spanish forces retaking most of Iberia, and now starting to push back in France and Germany. They are getting very close to linking back up with their forces in the rest of Europe down along the southern French coast. England has most likely lost a few divisions during the fighting, so Spain should continue to push the English back towards the Channel.

Russia has taken advantage of Spain's distraction by making a breakout from Moscow. They have made it all the way to the Baltic coast in the west, and the Urals in the east, where they have met up with Indian soldiers. Additionally, the Spanish are starting to lose ground to the Indians in the Middle East, getting kicked out of Iraq, and the Indians are now moving into Turkey. Amazingly, Ireland actually did something, landing a few divisions in Holland. A few divisions which were quickly destroyed by the English.

South Africa's daring attack on Cairo was initially successful, capturing the city, but they were unable to advance any further to cut off Indian soldiers in North Africa. Though once again, not much happening here.

XXII-Africa.png

In Asia, India hasn't managed to capture much more land. The Chinese are continuing to advance across Siberia, taking much of that land from India. Japan has managed to successfully land again at Hong Kong, but China should quickly take care of that, unless they can link up with the Japanese holdouts in the mountains. And except for Philippines landing at Cebu, its been pretty dull in Asia.

XXII-Oceania.png

Finally, South America, where Brazil is finally starting to throw its weight around. Starting to expand outwards in every direction, maybe they can conquer the continent and form a challenge to the Americans, who are still stalled by Honduras.

w00p :w00t: w00p!

Are the Danes still alive?

Looks like England's invasion of France is going to fail utterly unless they ship in a lot more reinforcements.

If I were to guess, it would be Crete and Cyprus, who just happen to share the same color?

MOAR!

Update XXIII - November 1, 1939 - January 1, 1940

Stuff actually happened this update! First off, Japan finishes off Brunei before setting up a battle for Borneo with the Philippines.

46-Brunei.png

Then India starts to absorb West Africa by annexing Mali and Guinea

45-Mali.png

43-Guinea.png

Then Brazil annexes Argentina. A big development here, as Brazil could start overpowering everyone else now too.

44-Argentina.png

Japan continues their assault on southeast Asia, annexing Laos.

42-Laos.png

But some sad news, as epic troll Nepal finally loses out to India. I am disappoint.

41-Nepal.png

So, in Europe Spain continues to push the British back after their tea-fuelled breakout. They have been slowly eroding away at the British holdings there. India has kicked the Spanish out of Turkey, and are now starting to move into the Caucausus. After a breakout thanks to the British distracting Spain, Russia has lost ground, but have established a more stable miniblob around Moscow, instead of that snakey thing from the last update.

XXIII-Europe.png

Only real change in Africa is India starting to swarm along the Atlantic coast and take over West Africa.

XXIII-Africa.png

With Nepal out of the way, India might finally be able to focus on its more external threats. They have expanded northwards into Siberia, and tidied up the border with China a bit. Japan has almost completely taken over the southeast, while they continue to fight the Philippines in Borneo, and a Philippines invasion of Australia.

XXIII-WestAsia.png

XXIII-EastAsia.png

XXIII-Oceania.png

And finally, South America, where the entire dynamic has changed with Argentina's defeat by Brazil.

The troll starved. But I knew it would happen eventually.

Prediction: Honduras will take an American province.

Yay Update :D Has Spain surrounded Russian completely, or does Russia still have holdings in the far north east?
