Ultimate Showdown 2.0: Now With More Showdowniness - Handsoff HoI2 AAR

I can't wait until someone releases the fury of England

Russia will lose if they gotta fight against China in the east, india in the south and spain in the west. I see an epic battle between spain, India and south africa in the distant future.

Is India even trying to attack Nepal or is it a England/Scotland situation?

Is India even trying to attack Nepal or is it a England/Scotland situation?

Its because Nepal is hiding away up in the mountains with enough soldiers to hold off the Indians

not passable terrain.

Update XIX - March 1, 1939 - May 1, 1939

Been a a while since the last update. You can blame Minecraft for that. Theres a reason people call it Minecrack...

Anyway, only elimination is Saudi Arabia. India conquered Saudi held Egypt and put an end to their shenanigans.

Italy is almost done now. They only hold Sardinia, some Greek islands, and a province in western Greece and northern Bulgaria. Spain has pushed the Russians back some, now controlling Romania. India and Italy are facing off against each other across the Dardanelles. India has also made it most of the way across the Sahara, having reached Tunis and Algeria.

Ethiopia has started to collapse under South Africa pressure. West Africa is still a random mess. Madagascar has done nothing, obviously they must have closed their port.

XIX-Africa.png

Russian forces that had crossed the Urals are now in deep trouble. The Indians have advanced deep into Russia, while China is now pushing back Russian forces. Southeast Asia hasn't changed much, and the only really big change in all of Asia was in Australia. Japan has taken all of the continent except for the southeast. On the map you can see three divisions there, however this is two garrisons and an HQ, hardly anything suitable to hold off the Japanese attack. They actually did raise an infantry division, but right away it ran away and boarded an Australian transport off the coast.

And the Americas. Chile has started to collapse, with Peru heading south and cutting off a Chilean division in Bolivia. Not much else to report except that Colombian wedge that captured Manaus.

How is revolt risk handled?

I was not expecting Spanish domination...

Update XX - May 1, 1939 - July 1, 1939

Anyone that predicted Italy would win will probably be quite disappointed to see Italy finally annexed. Though really, if you couldn't tell Italy was already, I question your sanity.

Now off to Africa, where something actually happened this time! Cameroon annexed Gabon.

58-Gabon.png

And South Africa annexed Ethiopia.

Russia is not doing well. The Spanish have broken through into Russia proper, and its actually looking amazingly similar to Barbarossa. The Indians are also moving in from the south and east. The Indians have also made it all the way to Morocco.

XX-Europe.png

Only real change in Africa is Cameroon's annexation of Gabon and South Africa's annexation of Ethiopia. Though I think Liberia and Sierra Leone have traded a few provinces.

XX-Africa.png

Everyone's favourite Nepal is still at it. Despite India reaching the Atlantic Ocean, they still can't defeat this small country in its own backyard. The border between India and China seems rather static, with neither side having really moved at all. China has kicked the Japanese out of Korea, and have almost done the same in Primorsk. India has actually lost ground in Southeast Asia, while Japan has managed to hold out in the mountains of southern China. Only Sydney remains free from Japanese occupation, though that won`t last long.

Brazil has managed to reach the Pacific coast, taking northern Chile from Peru. Colombia is also losing ground. Nicaragua is still the Nepal of the Americas, with the Omnomnimicans still sitting still.

Updated armed forces statistics. The biggest surprise here being the Cameroonian aircraft carrier.

And after checking the sunk ship log, the terror of the seas so far is the Japanese carrier IJN Ryujo. It has sunk about 75 ships, most of which are Chinese transports. After that is the Omnomnomican carrier USS Lexington, with not even half of that total.

The military stats have changed a lot since last time. Republican Spain have gone from 30 divisions to 102 whilst Russia has gone from 62 to 47. I guess thats a nice indication of how their war has gone although I'm slightly puzzled about how Rep Spain's military has increased so dramatically unless some divisions were not being counted properly in the earlier screenshot.

Keep in mind just how much IC Spain has been gaining. It can now spam tons of divisions.

How did Japan suddenly start doing so well against Australia? Weren't they landing practically every other month and getting repelled constantly?

How the hell is it possible that England isn't conquering Scotland? They have much more units then them... including a lot of Armored divisions. Why can't they manage a breakthrough?

Because England sucks?

It annoys me that the United States is seemingly the only country to dilute its entire manpower reserve in protecting its own shores from a nonexistent enemy amphibious force.
