I noticed that ,from looking to the member's pages from time to time ,that about 50 to 75% of all people that register never actually post a single reply.I have no clue to if this infleunces the forum speed or database size. But maybe there's some function out there that automaticly deletes logon's that have 0 posts for about 6 month's for ex. .

Why do i care ,well the member's page's look a bit messy like that ,aint no good or easy to use reference ,unless you sort on number of post's.And it's not fun for those that just register and notice that their favourite handle is in use by an inactive member. For the rest ,aint no big problem neither though.

Issue has been raised before; TF explains a bit. I believe it's something akin to having 25000++ members will make us look good for advertisers, more potential new members etc...

Also remember some people just sign up to use the search function...

The advertiser reason is not one of the reasons. :)

yeah, 25.000 is a great number!

off topic: KD, I must admit I really love that new avatar indeed  it reminds me my cute Alexandra disguised as Card Captor Sakura :D

Thanks! There's a similar little guy too, if you're interested. Not sure what RPG either...

BTW, I like that anime; a comical feel-good mahou shoujo with an unusual twist. The original Japanese dub is much better...

Ok ,good reason ,and i guess those extra member's doesn't hurt the bandwith of the site or the database speed anyway.

Not to mention, some just like to get news, or look at the front page. Some are just lurkers, like I was on Apolyton for 4 years when I was in college. :D

Hey TF how about just delteing the members who didnt complete the activation process??

Yeah you should - ones that didn't bother to activate their accounts. I also think that perm banned members should be deleted too...

I wonder if there are some people who just register to look at the ads?

Deleteing the perm banned people might help clear up the member list alittle.... Also I think deleteing the people who never activated there account is a good idea also.... Just deleteing people because they have no posts is a bad idea. ()

You fell for that trap, Strider.

If you have a : and then the ( to end a parentheses thing, it'll turn into a happy face rather than what you put -. To fix it, edit eyour post and do this (:lo: ) with the extra "l"
