The major plan should be spreading Sushi asap also to some harmless foreign ais like Brennus/Sal/Liz i think. Do we have monopoly on electricity? We might go radio for CR in that case. Then again we're not that far from ecology now so we maybe we should push on in that direction. I'll have a better idea once i've seen the save i guess.

So we can spread sushi to Liz and Sal--that sounds good. We can bring back the caravel--no more WHOORN.

Electricity seems like the big question.
We have a monopoly so we could run to radio and try and build a wonder or two.
Alternatively we could trade it around--but since we lost KK that's a bit less appealing.
Neither Liz nor Iz has started on it so it's got full trade value.
The trade path that I see is elec to Liz for rifling+$, then rifling+elec to Iz for AL, then AL +$ for RR to Liz.
Our production is pretty weak--I'm thinking we go ecology ASAP (maybe while we're still in slavery?)
 
I'd try radio + the wonders. Can we research to radio at 100% otherwise we may need to accumulate gold again and take it from there. Seems we were right to go for electricity btw.
 
Good job! I already see the three Radio wonders in pocket.
Edit: No trade of Electricity, we don't need any other techs at the moment.
We don't need cottages for Lisbon, watermill/windmill is a better choice after Electricity.
 
We have about 800g so not enough to run to radio.
If you look at the save, notice that Moscow is in revolt so our research is not that bad.

I've started WSing farms around rostov for some prod. case we chose to go for all 3 radio wonders.

save attached(don't know when I could take it again - even if I manage to continue, it'll have to be my only turn in may)
 
Don't trade away Electricity, we need long time to grab Radio wonders, the only thing helps is the tech monopoly.
 
Not much information in this set. The major thing I did is to spread Sushi. I totally forgot that we aim for Ecology, so I went for Mass Media first and then I realized that Ecology is only 2 techs away.

After Radio is in two turns later, I started CR in capital and RNR in Novgorod. A little painful without even Forge and OR. I am surprised that we have not prepared for the production, so I have to draw all workers to change surrounding improvements to emphasize hammers in these two cities. Moreover, I am stunned that we have 5 forest preserves besides Moscow.

Despite that Ilizabeth finished Electricity a few turns before, I hold on the tech until KK also get it. Then I research to Railway one turn to make the 1st tech trade with Isabella in this set, one extra hammer from mine is still good. I trade our only coal to Saladin in the first turn or so. So remmember to cancel the deal when our workers is ready to go.

Finally, I finished Mass Media and put research on Fission.

The good news is that Elizabeth has not started Radio yet, so the chance to get those two wonders is high. Pretty sad that the other one needs Forge.

Notes, I send the GM to KK's land to look for best trade, our next GP is also a GM.
 
The forest preserves anticipated sushi, our cities will get pretty big now. Without multipliers the lumber mills weren't that interesting, they're good for wonders though. I think one happy wonder would have been enough, but we can use hollywood too, the happiness from those wonders is mutliplied by 2 with broadcast towers iirc?

I'm amazed by the ai techrate in this game, immortal is usually much slower. We've been pretty busy trading though probably accelerating the techrate considerably. As it is we need to find a way to beat Khan, he's really advanced.
 
That wouldn't surprise me--I can take it. Will look at the save late tonight or tomorrow and concur with or post a plan.

I'm still thinking that we rate to beat him in tech--although I'm not sure. We have 2 monopoly techs and the main techs he's got we're missing are AL and comb. If we traded ours away here we'd be parity more or less. We're still growing fast, and presumably he's pretty fully developed. I'm sure we'll easily outpace the others. Although we're taking a detour to ecology here because of the variant is not something I've done.

I'm thinking we want to stay in slavery and whip recycling centers+hammer buildings--but again I'm not clear. So I'm basically pretty muddled--hope you guys have some clarity....
 
If i count correctly we have only radio as monopoly tech, Kub has AL, combustion,artillery, rocketry and some filler on us. Artillery,rocketry don't lie on the path to comps so we may discard them. And yes indeed, we can probably out research him. I don't hope he does precisely industrialization -> radio->plastics-> computers from here though. Not likely but since we're doing fission-> eco first we may have trouble catching up in that case.
 
Actually two mono techs: Radio + Mass Media
After we get CR, the game can be very flexible played. We can adopt OR and spread Chris, 25% bonus on whipping is pretty good. The major issue of our empire now is the happiness, so having those two media wonders would really help. KK won't compete when our cities are able to grow large.

Forgot about MM in this game, the others'll go for that so it counts as a monopoly, it's not that expensive though. There's indeed quite some potential left in our empire, it'll get even better once we can get forge/factories up.

Alright--getting back into this (and civ in general).

Things to do:

1) I see that we're still exporting dye to Kublai Khan--is this intentional? I mentioned this at the end of my last set; I really think we should cancel this deal. Kublai is not running HR which means that losing the 2 happy faces from dye could make a difference. I'm tempted to cancel the sugar deal as well (he is our main rival here) but haven't looked carefully.

2) Send some more workers towards Lisbon. We really want to get WS up as soon as possible after Christo, so I will workshop over the remaining BFC tiles as well. We're currently working coast which could've been a workshop. I know that these two farms provide chain irrigation, but I feel the extra production in Lisbon is more important.

3) Research is no-brainer I guess--we've talked about ecology for a long time. Won't trade away radio unless the wonders are secured.

4) We have a fish tile without a work boat within our cultural borders. We should hook it up for more effective sushi.

Game plan: I guess we're just setting up a decent late game empire. Kublai isn't going culture so we should have time for Internet and grind it out the slow way.
