Mamluk (Arabia) – 29
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 24
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 18
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 34 (33+1) - IMO the best unit in the game. If you are not planning early conquest as Nubia you are doing it wrong. Early, cheap, fast movement, fast leveling. They will take a few casualties but they are the War-Cart defensive counter. Double-attack units are around for the entire game to enjoy.
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 19
Samurai (Japan) - 2 (5-3) - These should really be off the board.. great flavor but that's the only reason to build them.
Varu (India) - 26
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 20
War-Cart (Sumer) - 32
Winged Hussar (Poland) – 15

Keshig (Mongolia) – 16
Legion (Rome) - 31
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 20
Mamluk (Arabia) - 30 = 29 + 1. Knights are the best base unit of the medieval age. Mamluks are just a better knight.
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 24
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 18
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 34
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 19
Samurai (Japan) - 2 - 3 = ELIMINATED. I love Samurai but they are too difficult to build/use effectively.

De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 26
Domrey (Khmer) - 19
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 30
Garde Imperiale (France) - 5 ( 8 - 3) - Samurai gone, so this is another unit for which I can't understand the developers' intention.
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hoplite (Greece) - 8
Hwacha (Korea) - 17 (16 + 1) - it might be a bit redundant (another bombard/artillery), but the attack animation is damn cool :D
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 11
Impi (Zulu) - 19
Jong (Indonesia) - 25
Keshig (Mongolia) – 16

Jong (Indonesia) - 25
Keshig (Mongolia) – 16
Legion (Rome) - 31
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 17 (20-3) Hardly fight in friendly territory. Arrives a bit late. They look a bit goofy.

Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 18
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 34
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 19

Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21 (20+1) Can build really fast/ early. Get to explore oceans and trade early. Science/ culture boost through raiding coasts.

Garde Imperiale (France) - 5
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hoplite (Greece) - 5 (8-3) Spearman are terrible, and this is just enough bonus to waste your resources building them, before realising that, oh know, they are still terrible.
Hwacha (Korea) - 17
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 11
Impi (Zulu) - 19
Jong (Indonesia) - 25
Keshig (Mongolia) – 16

Domrey (Khmer) - 19
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 30
Garde Imperiale (France) - 5-3=2 - Not entirely bad, but it just comes quite late, and unlike Minas or Cossack, it just doesn't stand out much to me.
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hoplite (Greece) - 5
Hwacha (Korea) - 17
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 11

Varu (India) - 26
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
War-Cart (Sumer) - 32+1=33 - This monster allows you to wipe out early civs with increddible ease. I know something about that - I've been wiped out by AI Gilgamesh once.
Winged Hussar (Poland) – 15

De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 26
Domrey (Khmer) - 19
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 30
Garde Imperiale (France) - 2 -3 = -1 ELIMINATED I hate these guys. You need to straight build them, which is a pain in the ass, and their strength is mostly unnecessary at home. Not to mention, easily the hardest rebels to kill when you have happiness issues.

Winged Hussar (Poland) – 15 + 1 = 16 Can one shot barb camps. Additional damage to defenders that cannot retreat is great. Pushback is great to push units in range of your xbows. Definitely not easy, and you can easily mess it up, but when you take advantage of the ability it is so much fun.

Conquistador (Spain) - 22
Cossack (Russia) – 25 (24+1=25) --- I usually stay away from light cav, but in this case I make an exception. Can combine with other factors (corps/faith purchase(Tundra)/move after attack/military academy promotion frequency) for a late mid game juggernaut.
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 26
Domrey (Khmer) - 19
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 30
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hoplite (Greece) - 5
Hwacha (Korea) – 14 (17-3=14) --- No move & attack hobbles Korean offensive operations. Good thing tanks are only a few turns away.

Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 30
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hoplite (Greece) - 2 (5-3=2) A slightly better spearman is a sad fate for a unit that dominated the battlefield for 500 years IRL.

Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 19 (18+1=19) A little love for these guys. They have no resource requirements, come early enough to help finish off your second, or third AI amd synergize well with jungle starts. A solid UU.

Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hoplite (Greece) - 2
Hwacha (Korea) – 14
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 11+1=12 These guys are death on cities, and they can upgrade from warriors. As Alexander you can't wait for Hetairoi so you're bound to have a few warriors to update. They are an important part of Alexander's snowball, they just aren't as flashy as the Hetairoi. I'll skip a day or two of campaigning for the legion to give these guys some love.
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 25
Keshig (Mongolia) – 16-3=13 They're just disappointing after being so much fun in V. By the time you get them you're likely to have a level 4 horse anyway so their special ability is lack-luster.

Hwacha (Korea) – 14
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 12
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 22 (25 -3) This unit is strong only in that the unit replaces is strong. It can accomplish some impressive things, but only rarely can it accomplish impressive things that couldn't be accomplished by a default frigate: the actual bonuses are fairly incremental.
Keshig (Mongolia) – 14 (13 +1) Moving after attacking was great in Civ V, but not essential. There's no need to withdraw if you've killed enough units to prevent an effective counterattack, and that's something Keshigs can accomplish very easily.

Hwacha (Korea) – 14
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 12
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 22
Keshig (Mongolia) – 14 +1 = 15 I like keshig , granted there is an accumulation of bonuses given by the civ as a whole but still

Cossack (Russia) – 25
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 26
Domrey (Khmer) - 19
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 32=(31+1) There was an error when this was down voted. Japper missed God of Kings previous up vote. This should have been at 31. I'm voting it up one more because this definitely deserves to be at the top. I'm hoping it reaches 40. The incremental cost of this unit is tiny compared to the large amount of economic return you get from it. A slightly more expensive warrior? Sure, but it's a slightly more expensive warrior that will capture hordes of workers for you. Worth it!
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hwacha (Korea) – 11 = (14-1) It's getting harder to pick something to down vote. I'm used to the Hwacha being crazy powerful in older versions of Civ, this one isn't and it's disappointing.
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 12
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 22
Keshig (Mongolia) – 15

Hwacha (Korea) – 11
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 12
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 22
Keshig (Mongolia) – 15
Legion (Rome) - 32 (31+1) Strong Classical unit when the game is still being won. Synergies with Rome's other abilities, such as free roads and fast Oligarchy. The lack of resource requirement is forgotten until you discover Bronze Working and you look around and there's no Iron anywhere with most Civs. They can pillage every tile and repair their own messes. 1 extra OP chop before it obsoletes is icing. A top 10 unit, easily.
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 17
Mamluk (Arabia) - 31
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 24
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 19
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 34
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 19
Varu (India) - 27
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
War-Cart (Sumer) - 33
Winged Hussar (Poland) – 13 (16-3) If the Keshig is going to get blown up for requiring a hard build, then this thing needs to go too. At least the Keshig can transport your battering ram at lighting speed for your Knights. This thing has some awkward knock back mechanic when I'd rather focus fire a hostile unit in place. More expensive than the Knight with the aforementioned hard build. Just not that great...just like Poland itself.

Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hwacha (Korea) – 11
Hypaspist (Macedon): 12 + 1 = 13 (Deserves to be higher - it's a very solid UU that I've used to great effect. It's very useful for taking down close cities while your hetairoi pillage everything in sight, mop up other units, and rake in GG points. Macedon is getting overlooked - I'll take a deadly combo of uniques anytime)
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 22
Keshig (Mongolia) – 15
Legion (Rome) - 32
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 17
Mamluk (Arabia) - 31
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 24
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 19
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 34
Redcoat (England/Victoria): 19 - 3 = 16 (It's a fun unit, but the fact that you get them for free doesn't really reflect the unit itself and it comes pretty late in the game)
Varu (India) - 27
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
War-Cart (Sumer) - 33

Varu (India) - 27
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
War-Cart (Sumer) - 33 + 1 = 34 In the showdown with the Eagle warrior, lets not forget it's cheaper to build at 55 cogs.
Winged Hussar (Poland) – 13

Conquistador (Spain) - 22
Cossack (Russia) – 25
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 26

Varu (India) - 27
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
War-Cart (Sumer) - 34+1 = 35 You get from the get go. By the time you reach the classical/medieval era, it is game over for your neighbors
Winged Hussar (Poland) – 13

Conquistador (Spain) - 22
Cossack (Russia) – 25
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 26
Domrey (Khmer) - 16
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 32
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hwacha (Korea) – 11
Hypaspist (Macedon): - 10 (13 - 1) - getting hard to downvote anything, so let's go with this one. Macedon have another unique unit, which is kind of more interesting.
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 23 (22 +1) - if you see Jong only as a Frigate replacement, you are not using it correctly. In fact you don't need other ships while you have them (attach a land unit for raiding/taking cities), and it also works as a transport (the only one in the game).
Keshig (Mongolia) – 12
Legion (Rome) - 32
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 17
Mamluk (Arabia) - 31
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 24

Domrey (Khmer) - 16
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 32
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22
Hwacha (Korea) – 8 = (11 - 3) - Would I miss the Hwacha if I didn't build one? I'll tell you what I miss. I miss my field cannon. Hwacha has a serious negative over the field cannon. It can't move and attack same turn. Sure it's an era early and you can definitely make use of the timing. But seriously, give me back my field cannon.
Hypaspist (Macedon): - 10
Impi (Zulu) - 16
Jong (Indonesia) - 24 = (23 +1) - Probably the best vessel on the list. It's available stupid early if you are going culture and doesn't require a research detour like Square Rigging sometimes does. Love the formation bonus for movement and power.
