Back In Green!
By vanilla i meant the "default" civs (such as the Ultramarines, Freebooterz and Ulthwe) that have all the default units, and the other "clans" all have lists based on the 'vanilla' one
Not that I desperately would want to do it, I only thought of it looking just awesome. And I didn't know it had desing flaws in the tabletop. What are those BTW? The thing that it can fire all its weapons on a target only when completely facing the enemy - or is it that it cannot fire the rear sponson lascannons at an enemy directly in front of it?...Anyway, sorry for my outburst a few posts up, if it makes you happy you`re welcome to make one. Unlike real tanks, Civ3 units actually have to turn and face the enemy, so its design flaws won`t be noticable in Civ.
bet its just a LR with bitz for a Razorback turret and Predator sponsons.......
Seriously its terrible....the sponson guns can't even line up for heavens sakes!
that thing looks terrible and badly conceived. 5 lascannons.. but only 3 can shoot in the same direction at any time me thinks gw's designers wanted to get out of the office early on that day..
ok find this another f****** waste , some retart at GW HQ was allowed to pick and mix with the spare part box and made that crap.
I'm sooo happy I didn't go to GD Germany today. (Had a spare ticket from our local fantasy store.)
Right now I'd probably sit in jail for demolishing that ugly bastard and killing its designer with a blunt cutter.
Hooray for GW and their lack of imagination. Making something like the Prometheus, switching Heavy Bolters with Lascannons would have done the trick... but noooooo, better use the rummage box.
What do you think? Had JJ's 5 year old son his first debut at designing?
Uglier than a Nurglite with half his face eaten by maggots. Disgusting lack of imagination. I could model that with my ass
What the devil is the point of a tank that can't fire forwards? It took us 2 seconds to figure out 3-4 viable ways to make this thing work, and the guys who get paid to do it came up with this? I'll bet Jervis designed it! Yeah, that's what happened! It's all part of his master plan to turn Space Marines into the Keystone Cops of 40K.
Regardless of whatever rules may accompany it, it a cheesy cut and paste job. I personally think they would have done better to modify the Prometheus sponsons to hold a pair of twin linked lascannons and put the razorback style turret in the hole above the assault ramp. That would give you five twin linked lascannons that would actually look like they could focus fire to the front arc of the tank. That would be a good looking marine titan killing tank, while still allowing you to put a storm bolter or hunter killer missile on one of the upper hatches.
I have to agree that this thing looks like it came out of the back end of a rabid baboon Absolutely horrible in my opinion. The sponsons just kill the model. If they were layed out more like how Feor suggested, I would probably snatch one up in a heartbeat, but this is just.... blegh...
I don't even think fuzzy dice and cupholders could redeem this piece of crap, boys.
I will not believe that the Astartes would develop such an.. abomination to their already tested and true platform. I mean come on..what imbicile would actually design such a sloppy vehicle?
instead of HB twin linked las cannons
front side doors a single las cannon in sponson on oth sides
rear side doors twin linkd lascannons in sponsons.
so you have 3 twinlinked las cannons and two individual las cannons. with some very poor fire arcs
Was Jesus experiencing lag when he took 3 days to respawn
For my next big megabattle, I'll rent out the local minigolf place and my friends I can stage battles all over it. Heck, they rent it for birthday parties, why not for 40K? "Captain Sicarius, your orders are to cross the water trap and hold that windmill next to the plaster T-Rex. The Orks will be coming from behind the pirate ship--they must not take that windmill, Captain!"
Now, to answer your Terminus question:
This is how it should have looked like:
