They have atleast a cool looking dropship which could be transformed into a transport ship ;)

With those wide protector & emissary-class ships is one big problem when turned into sea surface vessels: They are the worst kind of design possible :lol: . Unless the lenght/width ratios are dramatically changed :)
 
Perhaps Tau should have "special" sea units, like submarines? :)
They don`t have to behave very differently than normal ships in game terms (invisible and all that, cos of the technology), but they would look cool gliding under water.

Cos most of their hovertanks/spaceships/football teams are named after fish..
 
Well, we have room for a transport, a cruiser and a battleship

The Manta and Barracuda are going to be aircraft

So maybe aaglo's pic as the transport, the emissary as the cruiser and the protector as the battleship?
other way around, emissary as battleship, protector as cruiser; the custodian is a carrier
 
and the tiger shark AX-2-2 could act as a light carrier
 
Well, you could have the Tau ships sit on the water but have waves "radiate" from around them - kind of like helis.

I don't think it should be only availible for the tau... but you could give them some extra room as a race perk (cram some extra kroots in there)

Each race does have mostly unique units, i was referring to a truely unique unit.

most factions have "assault infantry" whether that is an assault marine, an ogryn or a stormboy or whatever, but a unique unit in this sense would mean only one faction would have that kind of unit, like the imperial guard and their vulture gunship
