Well, i call it a loincloth, but its really just an elongated version of the kilt prop provided by kinboat, i think. its the one utah talks about in the unit making tutorial he made

so it is visible from the front and the back

for the traitor, i'm thinking of making the studded shoulder pad civ coloured
 
While i've been waiting i've set up a wolf lord and wolf scout

The wolf lord is armed with a stormbolter and a chainaxe, the scout with a bolt pistol and sword.

EDIT: Looking at the render now, i reckon i need to beef up the scout's arms a bit and lighten the lord's moustache to match the rest of his hair

Ok, i've updated the unit list so that there is a link for each WIP unit to the latest post with a preview of said WIP unit so we can easily see where we are at

i've started animating the wolf scout. i'm thinking i may just post the chaos marine, crusader and grey hunter without sounds for now, and come back to them later, or hopefully someone will post usable sounds
 
Ok, two more updates: Berzerker and Thousand Sons Marine

I'd like to know if the previews i've shown thus far are good enough to start animating/rendering, cos i dont want to waste time rendering and then have to change something and re-render it

Just looking at the current unit list for the lost and the damned, and at elite infantry it merely says elite traitor. that sounds a bit boring to me, i propose this:

- move big mutant from tactics to elite infantry
- move mutant from infantry to tactics
- move traitor from starting to infantry
- give latd the chaos cultist as their starting unit, same as the chaos marine factions

seems that the cultists is more suited to the latd than the chaos marines to be honest
 
There's one think that sticks out a bit on that guardsman animation - the death animation. It looks a bit like a falling tree... maybe I'll just have to make sure that my guardsmen don't go dying then.

Basically, it uses bombard, but when you bombard, instead of taking hitpoints off, it has a chance of halving all opponents in the stacks' defense. If we're autoproducing the Hero's, then it shouldn't be too game imbalancing, as the number of troops who can do this are limited.
 
So, lets get started.....
Ive been playing the so far achieved 40k mod, here are some sugestions:
How about makeing space marines and chaos space marines tougher and faster.
Since they'r Suposed to be elite, I am thinking about general stats of: +1 health, 2 movement
(1 movement for Thousand Sons and Plague marines, compensated by +2 health) as for khorne berserkers, +something for attack value, not shure. About city names; since its a planet thats being invaded, the Thousand sons City names I could invent, starting of with "Prosper" as Capital,
from their Once Homeworld of Prospero, Then Takeen, Zeeteph, Arman, Caileeth, Tzeenak, Char, Azees, Metoph, Kasseth, Bellamar, Daliim, Methos, Magnas, Azur, Zerlas, Kathor, Ranee, Maleem,
Karack, Lathon, Helotheph, Fatheen, Vadoom, Vadar, Jeross, Patheroth. I can come up with more, just tell me if their needed, But dont go camp 1, camp 2, theres a wide variety of city names you could come up with for ImpGuard and UltraMarines, like comand post Glyry, Vigour, Rigteous flame and other fanatical nonsence for the simple sort of Space marines.
Ah and one more thing, about the chaos marine model with a bolter, use it, its awesome, im saying this cause I didnt see it in the so far version of the mod, there was one with a plasma pistol and a chainsword ( the chainsword is floating at the back when its fortified), also cool, but dont throw away the other=) further more, you can take a lot of resources from DOW, modify, minimize them a little and you can come up with lots of resources, but not too much, not that it just turns into a smaller version of DOW, but Im shure theres lots of usefull stuff there to use.
I can also ofer some of the guys at Relicnews forum to help you mod, the moding of civs3 is easier than DOW I think, cant promise anything but maybe they'l give you a hand. what do you say?
 
Ok, uni break so i've started some more stuff

utah very graciously sent me the poser models, textures and animations for his fire warrior, so i've had a go at reworking it into a pathfinder.

he's armed with a pulse carbine from a gun drone model i've got, but i put a markerlight on top and made attackA a markerlight-guided missile strike, a la navydawg's SpecOps

as always, C&C please :)
