Wotan49, I think I love you.

DLed with thanks.

Maybe a Mod can get that zip or a link to Wotan's post with the zip into the unit library threads I linked to, so others don't go begging all over again.

hey gang. I reinstalled CIV III PTW and my mod that i made many years ago (i switched back from civ 4). I am adding a few units to it and was wondering if there is, or if anyone could make a B-52 Stratofortress. I see there is a B-47 which I am also making use of. thanks

nevermind, I found it in the units library !

im sorry, I just didn't see the BRDM2 in the units list.
BUT OMG, that a beautiful link you posted. Those are some nice units, thanks a bunch

Thank Wyrmshadow :)

EDIT: I SEE YOU DID :goodjob:

I notice that Austrian WWI tank has not be made by anyone and I hope that I can convince someone to create this one. This was only the prototype but it have good design and abilities. The BURSTYN TANK is small (190cm) in height and it should have armament around 30 or 40 mm cannon.

I've used that as the Mobile SAM for USA and allied nations, its a high quality unit. Russia and warsaw allies have their own as well. This would be an interesting unit to carry a tactical missile across land .

Hello to you all!

I was wondering, if someone could make a small conversion of this unit:

ratnikprev_k18.gif

Specifically: an infantry unit (unmounted ratnik), so it could look like this guy:

1650ruspikeprev_jcU.gif

The most important thing I was hope for is his awesome ratnik glaive - but on a pole as long as this used in russian pikeman.

Why I need such unit? It's for my customization of Warhammer mod. I was thinking about customizing the usual common pikeman of Kislev into some kind of cool slavic militia. When I did some research i found these "unglorious bastards" ;) :

They are Scythemen (I think it is the correct translation; a slavic peasant militia armed with battle pole-scythes, sometimes glaives; usually of polish orygin, from XVII to XIX century - however earlier - in Medieval - a war/battle scythe was a quite popular peasant's weapon of choice in all european countries [mayby just nobody formed a unified unit from such persons, and scythe-armed warrios were usually part of some common militia formations, armed with many kinds of weapons]; I think the bohemian Hussites from XVc. also widely deployed this armement into their infantry), and they are quite stylish for a Warhammer addition (while most of the human military in Old World is based on a actual, cultural circles - so slavic scythemen for kislevite military is pretty cool, I assume).

I was usually using some similar wapon units to simulate Kislevite Scytheman - like Egyptian Pikeman (who has similar pole-weapon with curved blade) but he was not kislevite/slavic enough - so the first time I saw long time ago those russian unit pack - I just have to downloaded them and replace some unit for Kislev with those from the pack - because they are a marvelous piece of work. Unfortunatelly the pikeman unit from russian pack is halberd armed - so in my Warhammer Scenario directory this unit is named "Scytheman" but in game this so called "man with the scythe" looks like a halbardier :( . But this coat of his is so awesome, that I wont replace him - even with some far-asian unit flicks, which contains units with weapons similar to scythe.

So I was thinking: maybe somebody here could make a little conv.? I think it could be much more universal unit, than Warhammer-only, it could be used in some XVII, XVIII scenarios based on a slavic region. The main idea is to take the foot russian pikemanan and gave him a ratnik glaive - or some similar blade which looks like blade of a battle scythe (the lenght of the original pole could be without change - as it should be pike-like weapon, not short version of pole scythe - similar in lenght to spear). Of corse - if it is not too much work...

I would do it by myself (long time ago I was making some simple conversions [no animations, just derections] of Call To Power frame-units for home-usage) but I do not have sufficient skills with all those fancy graphic voo-doo, nor any talent at all.

TNX in advance, if someone would be interested in this idea...

Nice to meet you all (even if virtually). CivIII BEST GAME, Civfanatics BEST COMMUNITY EVAR!!! :goodjob:

BTW: if somebody will be interested in this whole conversion stuff, or even mayby some from-screatch creation in some unknown future - here is link to ENG forum thread with more illustations and some historical background (however for Warhammer purposes historical accuracy isn't necessary ;) ):

Another cool unit would be the M809 Army truck. It'd be cool to move troops fast over land

Check the most recent upload in the Industrial Units db. Caveat: it's from 2002 (!) and I've not seen it in game, but it previews just fine.

EDIT: I DIDN'T MENTION WYRM'S OTHERWISE FINE GMC TRUCK AS IT LACKS A DEATH.ANIM.
