@Varw please don't get me wrong but I've searched this forum, and couldn't find any if you can find them please post them I'll add them to the 1st post cause I do need medieval units from these factions:
Byzantine, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Wallachia and all other unique units from these factions puppet states
@Varwnos - I hope to do as many of these as I can. If images of Byzantine units appear, I'll see if I can tackle them. These Bulgarian and Serbian units have been nice since so many of the available props and figures easily adapt to look like them.
@all...thanks for positive comments! Keeps a guy from doing what he should and trying to perfect the look instead. Since you all seemed content with that unit as it was, I think I'll leave it more or less alone.
I think I'll use the same animations for the Serbian spearman. With some changes to apparel and props, this is start at what he'll look like. This is the best helmet I was able to find available from the forum. I'll see if I have anything else that may work...but I think it matches pretty well.
EDIT - It appears I forgot to texture the helmet...it will have an appropriately metallic shine, don't you worry
@Balam-Agab - What helmet are you using there? It appears to match the images better than the one I'm using. If you could sent it to me...they'll have matching helmets!
Here's the preview of the Serbian spearman. If it checks out, I'll render both the Bulgarian and Serbian spearmen tomorrow night, test them, and have them soon released. If not, I'll make the appropriate adjustments! I'll then turn to the Bulgarian and Serbian swordsmen.
@Varwnos - Those Byzantine images look good...they look a bit more complex, but handleable. I'll probably concentrate on a spear and swordmen for them after the Bulgarian and Serbian swordsmen. (I haven't figured out mounted units yet...so that's the next major hurdle, I suppose.) I think there are enough Varangian guard variants out there that I would ignore the Byzantine axemen.
The warriors on the image above are Russians and one Teutonic knight, and on the second one warriors are Mongols. Those images are taken from the Russian book about Mongolian and Teutonic invasions in Medieval Rus.
