Unit requests thread

If I am not mistaken that would require editing the effect's animation directly inside its nif, something I have never successfully done.

I am edited <Path>Art/Effects/PPC/fx_redlaser.nif</Path> rotate for 180
Euler Y=0.00 P=0.00 R=180.00

and its fire correct (for all units) but it's look little different. Thanks for help.
 
Yes i will share soon all my work (new mapscripts, laser effects, entire mod).
For this laser i changed effect to fire with (laser + blast) and only (blast), and in mod i used only blast because units fire laser some different, some unreal, but i will upload all and post link in this thread.
 
I have one require, please for help, whatever.
I make mod, All Civilization World (this was old name, new name is RECONSTRUCTION), i am post this here, because the most of you, know to make flags, buttons, static leaders (only .dds, without animation). What i want, that are:
- White flags, no team color:

That sounds awesome! Clanky's black armored clone with the laser reminds me of the Objective Force Warrior/Future Soldier project I saw once. They were in Empire Earth 2 as well.

Yes, + my mod have 7 generations of marines after BTS Marine.
 
I know there are lots of aircrafts around here, but I am looking for a special one: ThenDassault-Breguet Super Étendard (best would be with an argentine skin). I would like to use it as a argentinian UU, as this aircraft has been successfully used to sink british ships during the Falkland war with an Exocet missile which made this weapon popular, so it is better then my current argentine UUs.

Truely to say, I de not really need exactly an Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard, I also would be pleased if anyone can tell me, which aircraft looks similar to it, or if someane could give me a jetfigther with an argentinian skin. Does anyone know a unit that may fit?

one of this 3 files fire laser like from image bellow, i forgot which, because i change that my clone troopers fire different laser fire, similar like marine, just blue ball show instead rifleblast.

In this building pack there is a unanimates ballista, which has already some bones for animations. Would it be possible to make attack and die animations for this item, so it could be used as a unit?
 
Speaking of laser infantry, one example in particular fascinates me. The laser infantry from AKIRA are quite excellent, and semi-realistic as well. If it was in Civ IV, that would be so cool...

Hey guys

I have a favour to ask, just recently found this 3Dmodel in .obj format which I know is compatible with Blender. It has no weapons and sincerely I know nothing about 3d models conversion to CIV4, I hope somebody can do something with this model, hopefully we'll see it soon in some CIV 4 mod :).

I'll keep reading the guides I found, hopefully I'll be able to do something myself, in the meantime..

Ty that sound like an idea;).

At the moment I'm still practicing with Blender, started with 2.7 version then found out that the nif export script only works for the 2.49 version of blender so started again:mischief:.

Anyway the future soldier model lack weapons and at this stage I have no idea how to merge models, will put this on hold and concentrate for on an easier model.

Well I did manage to import the unit in CIV4( after reading several online tutorials :D ), for last part I've used the next war assult mech animations..but something gone wrong and don't know where the error really is : Blender? Or Nifskope?

Basically the unit has no animations :sad: , you can hear the sounds of the nextwar unit, but no effects, what would be the next step?

Does it move it the civilopedia? (I've only had vehicles move in civilopedia and not in game) Have you tried attaching kfs in nifskope?
 
I think that the model is not rigged, possibly that's the mistake.
I'm learning from scratch but that much make sense, I'll try to read more into this because definitely I don't believe anyone would put a free 3d model online with animations included:lol:

Hey Clanky, I was taking a look at your starcraft units and realized that you used the nextwar node (skeleton) to import the Assault viking. From what I can understand it should be possible to copybranch one nif to another, then you can spell ->attach kf; so I open the nextwar mech folder and try to attach the first kf on the list : idle.kf...but I get error

"The following controlled nodes were not found in the nif:"
"Editable Poly"
"Object01"

I couldn't find any tutorial explaining the process in detail and I hope you can help
