E-4B is the 747 based flying command centre. The E-3 Sentry AWACS is the Airborne Early Warning and Control platform and there is already a model of this. Prior to the SEntry the US used the EC-121 Warning Star which was AEW only (no Control). The Russian Tu-126 Moss, while it came along later is more contemporary to the Warning Star than the Sentry. The A-50 AEW&C is the current Russian platform, based on the IL-76 airlifter which also forms the basis of the PLAAF KJ-2000 AEW&C platform and the Indian Phalcon variant.

Obviously you've never seen the movie (which came-out long before the "real" MiG-31 was known)... oh... and the "real" MiG-31 is a joke... the Firefox is the real-deal... they would have mass produced them, but the Americans stole the plane and destroyed the second prototype... you wouldn't say such blasphemy if you saw the movie.

Nope. Movies like Top Gun and Stealth are too unrealistic for me. I don't think there's really been any modern aircraft movie that has been terribly accurate, so I end up watching documentaries.
Hot Shots doesn't count, 'cause that's a parody (and hella funny).
